Clowance wrote:For some reason this didnt work for me, I topped up a brand new sim and activated calls50 as in the first post, and they debited me £7.99 from my payg. Because lifes so busy, I didnt get around to complaining but today to add insult to injury I had a text saying I had to top up my £1.50 credit so they could debit next months calls 50. GRRRRR! So I have texted the number to cancel on the first post and am going to ring them and complain tomorrow. I didnt even use the wretched phone anyway.
The other problem I have been caught with twice now is the so called freebie ringtone or game that you get - I always get charged. There is no information on how to claim the freebie different from a normal download so I think its their fault. I hate O2 (not keen on Vodaphone either). Rant over.
Did anyone else get caught like me?
call on O2 CS they will put your credit back.(not only £7.99 but £23.97)
also you can caim for you ring tone charge as well.
call free on O2 CS

And it's my advise don't leave o2.there are lots of benefits on it.
see all the benefits.

Sorry if this is a bit O/T, but even after extensive searching I can't find the answer anywhere (that probably means it's right under my nose, of course).
I have a number of O2 SIMS onto which which I can obviously have the free £2.50 registration credit put. I also have a number of old handsets/car chargers, and I have put one in each of my more elderly relatives' cars, with a registered SIM, for emergency purposes (they're always forgetting their own phones). Obviously they won't be much used, and the initial credit should last some time.
The question I have is, does anyone know if this credit expires over time, so that there's no point in registering the SIMs all at once, or would it be sensible to just register all the SIMs in case the offer itself expires ?
(Out of interest, I have an old handset which takes full card SIMS, so I can register them, but leave the SIM itself attached to the card, which has all the relevant data on it,so I will know who gets what number when I dish them out over time.)
Thanks for any enlightenment anyone can provide.0 -
If you register a new Sim using 248 to activate does the £2.50 automatically credit to your balance ?0
