Can you cook rice in the Remoska? I'm thinking in the line of a complete meal - say chicken and veg with rice cooked seperately.

There is a recipe here http://www.hoorayforhomecooking.co.uk/Remoska%20Recipes%20Page%203.htm#SavouryRice2 for savoury rice, I bet you could adapt it

If I do buns will normal bun cases burn? need to but eggs- looks like it`s going to be a busy night!

I got a rack aswell so am going to do frozen pizza on rack and garlic bread under.

    Part of the Furniture
I have had the standard Remoska for 2 weeks now and just decided I would use it for everything I would ordinarily do in the oven. And it has been fine for everything - bread, cakes, plain rice, savoury rice, eccles cakes, chicken casserole, lasagne, chips, sausages, Yorkshire pud, you name it! Cakes I've made in a cake tin I already had and just put in the Remoska, lasagne in a pyrex dish. Seems to cook quickly and evenly.

i'm interested (and impressed) that your yorkshire pudding worked - jan2januk. My husband was very sceptical and said ours wouldn't rise. Oh it rose - and rose. It burned very badly as the sides of it rose so much it was touching the lid, long before the bottom centre of the pudding was done. I used the 4z flour recipe as advised in the remoska cookbook. If anyone has had better success please let me know how!

I did 2 batches of muffins today with the kids and they came out lovely, evenly cooked too and no, the cases didn't burn they were fine. I experimented with 1 batch in the shallow pan and 1 batch in the deep pan, next time I'll do 2 batches in the deep pan with the rack and see how it turns out. The only difference was that the shallow pan ones cooked quicker. It will be more energy efficient in the deep pan with a rack.

That's a great idea about the garlic bread and pizza, I might try it.

Yes, it could be dangerous if you don't watch out, I'm wary of scratching the non stick lining so I need to get some more non stick utensils. I suppose its only as dangerous as an oven (the times I've burnt my arms on the oven shelves...) I'm still learning and once I get the hang of handling it I should be ok.

One tip, don't peer too closely at through the window of the lid, the air vents are quite hot!
