This should be on the drop board.

However my contribution is BOGOF 1L. Ribena at £2.47 , close to the recent Asda's fantastic £1 a bottle.

The value biscuits have shot up in price from 20p+ to 30p+

Ooooo how exciting, my first post!:D

    Hello all!

Well, I have to say as an avid Sainsburys shopper I can say that they do have fab deals!

1/3 of nappies is always a good one. Their 25% off wines was on before Tescos hijacked it too!

The have plenty of BOGOF offers and quite often are better than Tesco's (I am a supermarket Tart and go to them all!)

Though I suppose it depends on what food you eat/cook as to how good the offers are.

I also use the American Express Nectar point credit card in conjunction with the Nectar points and currently have about £100 to spend after about 5 months worth of collecting them, they now offer and extra 500 points per £500 spent which is great as we spend about £1500 on the card per month so £7.50 per month on to of what we get now is well worth it!:j

    Hi

When I went to sainsburys last week the homepride pasta bake was on offer at 1.26 with an extra 'topping' on the jar. The potato bake was also on offer-haven't seen this in the shops for a year or so. Hope its still on offer this week.

I also find the basics range excellent - much better than tesco.

Have just tried the basics washing powder 1.41 for a big box it cleans really well and the scent isn't overpowering.

I seem to remember that a few years ago Martin (and this site) was threatened with legal action over postings for Sainsbury. It was something to do with a computer error on the billing side of internet shopping and you were able to enter the discount codes more than once. some people took great advantage of this and got the site into trouble. This is why there is little mentioned about them in posts.
Please be careful of what you post and say.

According to the website, current offers include...

    BOGOF on Pataks curry sauces
Half price Oatibix, £1.24 for 24
    BOGOF on Pringles tubes
BOGOF on Coke, 1.25 litre (share-size??)
    BOGOF on Mullerlight yoghurts

So there are good deals to be had. ;)
I live very close to a Sainsburys, and although I dont use it for my main shop I often pop in at about 7pm to check out what offers are on .......and to rummage through the excellent 'reduced to clear' section!! I regularly come home with steak, chicken breasts, prawn and other yummies that has been reduced by over 75%. I think my best ever haul was approx £120 worth of meat for under £20 :D
2008 gig list... Nickelback + Staind (OMG...Staind ROCKED!!), Roger Waters, Infadels, Pendulum, The Police, K T Tunstall, Breed 77, Biffy Clyro....oh, and Motorhead :D

I know Sainsburys were mean to this site but I find they are really reasonable compared with Tescos, Asda and Morrisons (if not cheaper). I buy lots of their basics range and it is definitely cheaper than Morrisons basics range.

There was also an article in this weeks (or last weeks ?) News of the World (so it must be true!) comparing all of the major supermarkets on a basket of basic shopping. Sainsburys was the cheapest.

Pink if you could let us know when they are going to have the next round of half price deals that would be great.
RE the news of the world article i'm pretty sure that Sainsbury's basket was the most expensive even more so than Waitrose and that's saying something. It was in yesterdays paper i remember seeing it their basket was bottom which was the dearest;)
