Driveway parking?
Comments
-
Thank you Tea3, they have parked fully in my drive three times, today being the last. They blocked my footway crossing once. All four times it has been different cars but to the same house. This is more than just a coincidence. I believe they are telling their guest to park here.0

You could just spend a tenner on something like this. Point it into your own property and no-one has any reason to complain and they hopefully won't be able to tell it's fake. http://www.toolstation.com/messages.html?code=32398&mainWin=1
or maybe http://www.toolstation.com/messages.html?code=31275&mainWin=1 would be more convincing.
Do you know if they need wiring. Seems really good.0 -

No they just screw onto your wall and the wiring is fake. Will just be a case of drilling 4 holes into the wall, sticking the plugs in, and screwing the camera on. They use a battery to make an LED flash but I'd be inclined not to put the battery in as you'll just end up going up ladders to change the battery all the time. Besides from the pic it would look pretty convincing to me without a flashing light to embelish it.
I would just be careful that the neighbours don't see it being put up as it might be pretty obvious it's not being wired in.0 -
I wont bother ordering one on there as delivery will take ages. But I will go to argos tomorrow and pick one up. Ill put me wheelie bin and some bags or rubble from the garden out tomorrow and see if they move it. There is so much parking on my street as everyone has a drive, these people are plain nasty.0

Go to your local DIY store. Buy some 4 inch nails. Wedge one against each tyre. Job done.0

If they were parking ON my actual drive I would be going spare!
There is no excuse for that - its just rude and its not a shared drive (can see hedge between you and neighbour) so no reason at all for them to park there by accident. I would put a note through their door saying you have asked them 3 times nicely and should ANY unauthorised car be parked there in future you will assume its not them again and will call the police imemdiately and report it as an 'abandoned car' on your property and it will be towed (ok chances are it wont be but do they want to risk it)?
This restricts your use of your property - say you wanted to paint or respray something you cant incase it damages their car. You also cant cut your hedge, you cant take pram in or out incase it scratches their car, you cant play football or ball game in YOUR garden incase it touches their car - can you call the local council roads dept and ask them for advice? They may help point you in right direction as they were helpful with a driveway problem I had..... I was parking in a neighbours empty driveway and they did not like it ... sorry only joking, could not resist
..... actually was about a neighbour blocking my drive (grrr) Some People Live & Learn, Some People Just Live...0 -

Put something nasty on the bags they won't see where they're likely to pick them up
Glue, faeces take your pick
Oh ok, that would be childish and probably start tit for tat stupidities, but would be so funny to see them move it and realise they have !!!!!! on their hands :rotfl: 0 -

Too bl***y right, after all I can leave what i like on my drive, they have no business touching it.0 -
I live in the corner of a close, sharing a drive with the empty house next door. Seeing as that place is empty, folk have taken to parking right in front of that house. Annoying to a degree, but they ain't actually blocking the drive so no harm done.
Tonight, I went to take my bin out. I got around to the front of the house and found a car parked on the drive. Well, most of it is. The rear end is sat right in between the gateposts, leaving about a foot and half gap.
Seeing as wheelie bins don't fit through 18 inch gaps, I took the only logical action and threw the bin over the fence.
If I knew whose car it is, I'd be shouting at them now.0 -

People can be very inconsiderate. I guessing there were other place on your street where they could have parked and walked?0
