The cartridge people have some summer reductions on original canon cartridges. High Capacity Colour and BW came for MP180 came to £34 - plus 8% cashback through quidco.

The guys at Stinkyink have got chipped compatibles for the CLi-8 and PGi-5

The chips came onto the market about a month ago. Just about all the major suppliers of cartridges are now selling compatibles with chips on.

Bought a compatible from the cartridge people and has caused me nothing but problems, they suggested I wipe the chip with a damp cloth and reinsert, worked for about 3 days, then same again and now printer wont work! Going back to the 'real' canon!

I've just refilled my PG40 and CL41 using a refill pack from Asda. It's quite easy to do - the lid pops off the cartridge if you slide a knife in it and twist. Inject the ink into the sponge until you can just see it and tape the top back on again. Doesn't have to be a tight seal.

No difference from the original, although it keeps flashing up 'ink low' on my pc whenever I print. I believe you have to press and hold the stop/reset button for 5-10 secs to disable the ink level monitor but I've not bothered.

 Ordered printer inks on 10 Oct 2008. The money left my account four days later, but ten days later no ink has arrived, despite a statement on the 999inks site saying they guarantee free first class next day delivery.
I have had no email or call to say the items are out of stock or that there is a problem with the order or delivery in any way

Have made several calls to 999inks, but all calls go to voicemail and no one returns my calls. Have emailed twice but no response.
Have reported 999inks to trading standards and intend to pursue this further until they are shut down.

Have also read a review elsewhere stating that ink bought from this company ruined someone's printer.
DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY - THIS SITE IS A SCAM.

    On ALL three colours.
    Dear customer,

The desired item is unfortunately not in stock in the requested quantity. In order to receive your order immediately, please delete this item, or do not change anything and the complete order will be delivered in calendar week 46

We distinguish between orders with and without printer accessories because our calculation for printer accessories is made on a very conservative basis in your favour.
This enables us to continue to guarantee fair and sensational prices in the future.

    We thank you for understanding!

And this AFTER going thru to the checkout process. Why not show OOS on the item?

    Not very reassuring, is it.

Made the mistake of ordering from the cartridgepeople - they took 4 days to despatch and then it went missing in the post. Their answer was that they couldn't do anything for 15 working days - Royal Mail don't deem it lost until then.

So no Ink and no refund for 25 days - so much for their website promise!

    I don't think so!
