  • Before I found this thread, on 16th August I ordered some memory from www pc-doctor-store.co.uk. It never arrived. I've asked them to follow it up but they refuse to do so until 15 working days have passed, which is 10th September (they claim it was sent off on 20th August - I don't believe them). I don't expect it to arrive and I'm sure they will drag things out. Anyway, I'm not going to give up until I get my money back!
  • I have e-mailed watchdog over this outfit... My advise is for you all to do so this week too and hopefully we will get our voices heard! :T
  • ..and yes, I have also had issues with this company pc-doctor-store.co.uk

I am getting the 'it is in the post' story too from their 'Live Chat' window.

As a business owner I have access to Credit Checking software and since reading this post I have looked into the company.

On my email invoice, they include a Co Reg Number 6241538 - checking this, it shows that CCK Technologies has been Dissolved - i.e. Not trading.

On their website they give a different company 6241511 - LCI-Online (UK) Limited - again, this company is Non-Trading.

Looking deeper into the business structure, it looks like all this is being run by one person, a certain Christopher Percival Puxty. He appears to be setting up companies left right and centre and I am amazed Companies House is letting him do it to be honest.

Another defunct business is UKSoftwareOnline Limited.

Other recently set up companies are:

    Tradewire UK Limited
    Clicktobuyonline Limited
    Data Trak Systems Limited

All these companies were set up on the 5/6/09.

It is amazing that people can treat their customers so badly and then expect to just move on to the next thing, leaving so many out of pocket or trying to recover their costs from the CC companies. Don't the CC companies do full credit history checks anymore before they let a business take CC payments?

    Beware of all these companies.
  • I normally diligently check everything about the companies that i order from. However in this case, it was late at night, and i was after a replacement printer. Found pc-doctor-store with good price on printer. Checked their address, phone number, terms and conditions and companies house records, and all seemed correct. plus i couldn't find anything negative about them on internet. Actually nothing positive either, but alarm bells didnt ring in time. So i placed an order. The next day, i tried to contact them concerning the order. Nobody answered the phones. I used the on line message system to leave messages. Noone ever responded to me. I tried many more times to call them until i realised I had been 'had'. No goods have been delivered, and I don't think they ever will. My credit card company are being very helpful though in disputing the payment. How is it possible for pc-doctor-store.co.uk to keep trading as a legitimate company? I thought we had laws to protect us from this sort of mis-trading. Avoid them.
