  • Yes, I think someone on this board has done so. The funds recovered go into the BR estate via the OR. Please let us know how you get on if you decide to go ahead.

Yeah i would think you still had a right to claim and if i remember rightly you can go back quite a few years when we get a proper decision on if the claims will go through.

I am guessing that if you are dis-charged by the time ruling happens and then claim the OR will be out of it anyway?

I have a feeling that even if you are discharged it might have to go to the OR as the account no longer really belongs to you. It might be worth a call to the Insolvency Service on Monday.and double check (number in my sig.)

Tiger is right. Just as any debts prior to bankruptcy will form part of the bankruptcy, so any assets - even "after acquired" - will go into the estate, to be divvied up between creditors. Which presumably means that the bank charges you get back may in fact be used towards any debt to the bank! But I can completely understand the desire to go ahead and do it anyway, just to make a point. Am tempted to try and do the same with mis-sold payment insurance on our evil secured loan. Do let us know how you get on with your crusade!

Are you sure this was your bank that charged this? I thought all banks allowed free mini bank transactions useing there machines:confused:

You wernt using one of those independent machines that charge a fee where you? say at one of your local shops or garage?
Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. :(
