Ok, had a bit of a break from the door hangers and then just HAD to make another one :j This is for a friend to go with a book for her birthday...

Not quite sure why one pic is really bright and the other is fine?

I didn't do much with the paper on the hanger as I thought if was really lovely as it is, just added some blue dot things in the middle of some of the flowers, added a row of flowers at the bottom of the hanger to add something different, ribbons at the side and put a pocket on one side. The label says 'quiet...it's me time' on one side and 'home sweet home' on the other.

  • Picture is possible like that because maybe the flash was used on one?

They are stunning as always :D Well done :) Mine arrived last week, popping into town to see if I can get any nice wallpaper and do them the MSE way ;)

  • Fantastic as ever Rainmac! I have some very pretty flowered papers that I wanted to use on hangers but was unsure what embellishments to use... It's nice to see yours, I might copy ya... (it's a form of flattery!)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

rainmac - fantastic hangers. I love the flowery paper.
I plan to do some for my two ds and also my friend's three boys. What sort of paper is it best to use and where is the best place to buy it? I haven't bought any paper yet so not sure about prices, what is a cheap/reasonable price?

  • Popped into the local wallpaper shop and asked for a couple of samples. She gave me just under 1 metre of disney princess wall paper and also just under 1 metre of plain black. I wanted the newcastle united paper they used to do but its out of stock and being discontinued so she didn't even have any scraps for me. I am sure I can put some stripes on myself though :) Hoping to make a start tonight :)

Thanks bunbun! I've used 12x12 scrapbook paper. Guess it's approx 50-60p per sheet depending on manufacturer. I've bought mine all over the place but any craft shop would stock 12x12 paper. You can get three sides of hanger out of one sheet of 12x12.

Rusty is going to have a go with wallpaper which is a great idea, and if you can get samples, a great free idea ;)

That's what I did Mary, had all the stuff already so made the hanger to go with a book I'd bought. The idea being, my friend can put the hanger on the door, close it and enjoy some peace and quiet and loose herself in the book. With a husband and 2 kiddies, not sure if that's what will happen... :rotfl:
