Another unconfirmed address. It is so so annoying.

In my listing i make it cleary that I will send item only Paypal confirmed addresses, and please dont bid if have not a paypal confirmed address.

    It is realy very annoying.

I still do not know the best way to get my final fee back. I think there is no way to get listing fee back, unless giving the buyer a NPB strike.

BTW, the value of my item is about 200 pounds

You can't go through a full NPB dispute though is buyer has paid by paypal as the paypal transaction ID from the refunded payment is enough to cancel out the dispute. If you go for a dispute and lose you lose any chance at all of getting your FVfs back.

Are you selling high priced things that require special delivery? If so I can't see what else you can do except to walk away from the transaction is you are uneasy and take the potential neg and NPS strike. For smaller items maybe set your comfort levels a bit lower, I don't bother with confirmed addresses for anything less than £36 as I don't need them as I don't use tracking.

Thanks soolin. The value of my item is about 200 pounds. I will use special delivery, but the address of the buyer is unconfirmed, so there is no way i will post it.

The problem is how to get my final fee back.

Just as you have said ''This is tricky, technically you can't do a full NPB on them as they did pay and if you went ahead and put a strike on their account they can appeal and you'll get your wrist slapped by ebay for misuse of the dispute system. However if you go for a mutual the buyer can easily refuse so you lose your FVfs anyway.''

netwalker, I agree £200 is far too much to risk.

Personally, and this is only a suggestion, I would contact the buyer ASAP and explain that they must confirm their address, if encessary talk them through an idiots guide to confirming. If they are willing to do this then tell them you'll wait until it is confirmed and then they can repay you. if they are not willing you will have to have a rethink about how to proceed. I would rather risk a neg than risk a £200 item.

The only other thought I had was that there have been some paypal glitches recently and some confirmed addresses are showing up as unconfirmed..so definitely talk to the buyer first and then decide what to do.

Many Thanks for your advice. I confirm the address is unconfirmed as the mail receiptant is not private but Ltd. BTW, the sender of this payment is Non-US-Verified, but it is not important as I dont qualify paypal seller protection. I dont know if the buyer can get his address confirmed.

soolin, I contacted buyer and asked him to get his address confirmed or send me by other means, but no response was received. So I issued a full refund.

Now the same annoying problem is how to get ebay final fees back. If I open a unpaid item dispute , the buyer still can pay item with unconfirmed address to close this dispute, then i will completely lose the ebay final value fees. If I go for a mutual the buyer can easily refuse. I have no idea how to do next. Any advice would be appreciated greatly.

You can't do a full NPB as he had paid and he can contest it purely by showing ebay that you refused his payment.

Your only option is a mutual..but with no guarantee at all that buyer will co operate. It's a difficult one.

Can't you do a full NPB with the reason 'buyer requested shipping to an unconfirmed address'? There is an option in the dispute console that says that.

The problem though is that the first option before you get to the unconfirmed address bit doesn't apply. Your only options are :

    1) The buyer has not paid for the item
    or
    2) we have both agreed not to complete the transaction.

The first one does not apply as buyer has paid and can prove it, the second is a mutual and therefore there is no guarantee that buyer will agree. Only if you choos eone of th etwo options do you get the chance to state the reason for reclaiming your fees, ie buyer wants item sent to an unconfirmed address.

    Thanks iieee and soolin.

The reason i refused his payment is I wont send item to unconfirmed address. I think it is not my fault. In my listing i make it clear that I will send item only Paypal confirmed addresses, and please dont bid if have not a paypal confirmed address.

I have to open a NIP after 7 days of auction end. It is annoying that the buyer never replies my email. If he never responds during the Unpaid Item process, Unpaid Item Strike will have to be given to get FVfs back. However if buyer re-sends payment with unconfirmed address to close NIP, I have no idea how to do.
