Given up with Cineworld Ashford as every single time I've been there's been "youths" chatting and pratting about.
When some friends visited we went to the cinema and there was a person in the front who was on their mobile THE WHOLE FILM!! About half way through I shouted out "For god's sake will you shut up!?" as was SO frustrated. >:(
Every time you complain to the staff they do come and investigate, but I think they should have a member of staff in the area all the time, like the "good old days"0 -
yeah, they need that at one over stoke way, it's always full of kids who shout/talk all the way through. luckily we know that the cineworld is okay, it's on a retail park or something, one of the ones you have to drive to, so if there are kids there they are with their parents, and gangs of teenagers tend not to go there because it's not as accessible as the ones you can get to by bus or that are in the town centres, etc.52% tight0

Ours is on an industrial park too, but somehow they still get there... :-/0

we went a few weeks ago, and there were kids smoking in there, so i went out and complained, and was told if i didn't like it i cou;ld leave. complained and got free tickets, but ruined the night out for us.0

i thought cinemas were no smoking??
i was gobsmacked a few months ago when we took the children bowling. my nephews are severely asthmatic and i have asthma. i started to choke and realised a guy in the next lane was smoking. cigarette smoke is my worst trigger but luckily my nephews were okay. the staff at the bowling alley said smoking was permitted everywhere in the building and there wasn't a no smoking area! i was amazed - why can't the smokers all sit in the bar away from the children? this man was smoking over his own children, obviously didn't care about anyone elses children either. i complained until we got moved as far away from this guy as possible and three families in the queue behind me also asked to be moved far away from the smoker. the staff just said there was nothing they could do.52% tight0 -
I will be glad when all public places are made no smoking, it plays havoc with my asthma too, not to mention the smell on your clothes and hair!! :-X0

i'll be glad too, cos its been a !!!!!! giving up, but when out at weekend people blowing smoke over me made the craving worse.0

Why on earth do they charge a booking fee?!
It makes more sense to do what they do at the theatre and charge a premium at the door and discount booked seats as at least they know they have sold those seats.
.... and PLEASE for every film shown do a special adults only showing. I'm sick of being disturbed by a bunch of rowdy kids who shout, scream, kick the chairs and throw popcorn.
I can't believe that they told a group of 6 24yr olds (who were watching Scary Movie 2) to be quiet because they were laughing too much??!!??
Funny that when you get about 10 noisy teens terrorising everyone they do nothing.
Due to my eyesight I have to sit as far back as possible so I get there nice and early but I am still occasionally pipped to the post by a score of screaming banshees. If I do get to sit at the back then they sit in front of me.
I have had many a film ruined by these 'mini-hooligans'. I love going to the flicks, it's a real treat but now I find once I get there I realise how bad it is and regret going.
It's a shame when you can't go and watch a film in peace without the fear of being charged for murder before the ads are over!Watch out people. You don't know what lurks around the corner for you![/SIZE]0
