You know you're stingy when.....you use your son's deoderant that he has had for Christmas (and isn't too keen on) instead of buying any of your own!
....you add beans too everything,(any type) to bulk out your meals!
....you smell the arm-pits of you 15yr olds t-shirts after he has worn them for only 2HOURS, to see if you can get away without washing them!:D
A t-shirt only needs washed after 2 hours if he's been playing sports in it! She also told them they couldn't have pets as the keeping of animals wasn't allowed in Council houses. They took several years to find out mum and dad actually owned their nice house - which was miles from the nearest Council estate!0 -

When my bathroom (without a window) light broke, it remained like that so many years, I cannot remember how long it actually was. (Must have been around 3 to 4 years!). When friends came to stay, they would have to have a bath using my tea lights around the bath. :rotfl: :rotfl: .
The annoying this was, visitors would still pull the cord and the extractor fan would come on. As it came on for 25 minutes, I would have to wait 25 minutes to see if they had left the light 'on' or truned it off. :eek:I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100 -

We used to press Button B in every phone box we passed to get the occasional 2p (then 5p and so on when it went up) for sweeties and I still check the change drawer of vending machines in case anyone's forgotten to collect theirs.
I work on the principle of "See a penny, pick it up and all the day you'll have good luck" and swoop on any coins I see in the street. A 10p has got to mean 10x the amount of luck!
Last time I went to the States I noticed people seemed to be very profligate with their loose change: in the first couple of days, I managed to pick up about 3 dollars, including several quarters which must surely be the most useful coins ever for vending machines and stuff.0 -

I've done this as well.
I also don't drink milk, so whenever I was in a McDonalds or a KFC, I used to grab a handful of their one portion milks so that if anyone came round they could have milk with their tea or coffee.
Also, before I had a mobile phone, whenever I used a phonebox, I used to check the coin return box to see if there was any change in there. I actually got quite a bit.It is a scientific fact that your body will not absorb calories if you take it from another person's plate.:A :A :AChocolate is the answer and I don't give a damn whatthe question is.;)0 -

Did anyone see that episode of Shameless, where Shelia washed her clingfilm? Surely that is a step too far?
Oh, and how about that Spam ad, where the husband serves his wife of at least 25 years, Spam for their anniversary? Grounds for divorce me thinks! It is a scientific fact that your body will not absorb calories if you take it from another person's plate.:A :A :AChocolate is the answer and I don't give a damn whatthe question is.;)0 -

when your colleague is in pain and you dont offer her some of your painkillers until she has exhausted every other option...
when you take the bulb out of one of the lights in the lounge as the 2 are connected and tell everyone you think there's something wrong with it, but you will look into it one day:D
when your washing machine starts filling up into the bath and you'd rather bail it out for 3 months and shower at someone elses house than call a plumber:o
