0844 on 3. is it free
Options
i remeber a thread about o844 numbers being free on 3 (coming out of free minutes).
i cant find it.
anyway i called up three and was told that it was not free and costs 15p a minute.
the weird thing is i used a 0844 number last week and my free minutes went down.
to be honest it wouldnt be the first time a 3 operater was wrong but does anyone know for sure?

I've dialled 0844 numbers from my 3 handset and they came out from the inclusive minutes but i've heard people saying that they have been charged for them.0

I am also worrying about this.
According to their website, it is not.
*The following calls and messages are excluded from your monthly allowances: international calls and messages, calls and messages made and received whilst abroad, premium rate calls and messages, directory enquiries and calls to non-geographic numbers (e.g. 0870, 0845) and special calls. The call allowance does include calls to other mobiles. Minimum contract, service limitations and terms apply. Free content is subject to fair use policy.Val0 -
Correct - 0844 numbers are not inclusive within the bundle. Those who have had them for free have been doing so due to billing errors on 3's part.0

are you serious?

They won't charge you retrospectively, but they will start to charge you when they get their billing sorted and judging by earlier comments it appears that they are getting themselves sorted.0

oh well. Do they allow you to call 0800 & 0808 free?Nice to Save. To save it's ____0

No Lofty they do not allow free calls to 0800 or 0808. These are tariffed at 10p and 15p per minute dependent on which of their monthly tariffs you are on.0

What about on Orange, especially if you want to use Telestunt?
Does anybody know?
Is it free or does it come out of your bundle minutes on Orange contract users?
SpikeyUse your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.I walk with the world & the world walks with me!I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!!0 -
any o8 numbers are not free on 3.they will come out of your minutes & after 3 months you wil have a hugh bill for those calls. £60 to be exact, for me.
if you take an orange OVP plan for any 02 tariff, then you get 0845, 0870, 0800 free out of your free minutes.Regard
