Cor blimey mate, you've got about 1000 posts telling people that the only mattress they should buy is the type that, just by coincidence, is only available from you, bit cheeky don't you think?
I personally have looked at many of Tims posts as I am considering a new mattress, I have found all of his posts both factual and very informative.
Anyone with a teeniest bit of detective skill could identify where his income is from but I do actually believe that the advice he provides is very genuine, and to that point, even knowing the company he owns, I would still consider buying from him ( assuming it was the cheapest ).

I might be missing something here but I cannot for the life of me get Tim to actually tell me what specific mattress he would recommend ( and FYI if he did stock it I would buy it from him) so not sure where you get off accussing him of this

    Really?

the pocket sprung/memory foam option is by far the best.

If you do a search he has made at least 26 posts saying the same thing, that an osteopath says that kind is best.

You'll then find at least a hundred posts saying not to buy non-turn mattresses.
    E.g.,

I don't want to knock your choice, but one thing to remember with mattresses with built in toppers is that this then makes them a non-turn mattress. All mattreses should be turned on a regular basis in order to prolong the life.

What does this leave? Basically the mattresses he sells, which are hardly available anywhere else. Mattresses he doesn't sell are either 'too expensive', or 'rubbish'.

a: This post is over a year old, and does not recommend a brand only mention them.
b: What is wrong with quoting what an osteopath told him?

blockslo, Anyone can see why the advantage of having 2 sleeping surfaces would be a good one, and Tim is not the only person that sells dual sided mattresses. (I bet he wishes he was the only one)

Yes I have copied and pasted from the document that I keep with answers to common questions. I get asked so many questions on here that it would take far too long to type them all from scratch. So what is wrong with that?

The pocket sprung/memory foam option is by far the best for back support. You will also find posts where I actually go into detail about why this is. However I would like to point out that I actually sell all types of memory foam mattress which includes reflex/memory foam, open coil sprung/memory foam, pocket sprung/memory foam, and even reflex foam/latex foam. The type that I actually make the lowest profit margain on is the pocket sprung/memory foam type, because they are on special offer. So if I was on here for personal gain then I would be promoting one of the others wouldn't I?

And yes it was an osteopath who told me that they gave the best support. In fact she told me that while she was on the phone buying two of them off me.

Yes I do advise against buying non turn mattresses. For years we have all been told that we should turn mattresses on a regular basis. Then all of a sudden manufacturers have started selling non turn mattresses. This is the truth: They haven't done anything to the inside of the mattress to make it last longer without turning it. The only reason they have made them non turn is to keep production costs down by only using quilting on one side. Obviously this applies even more to memory foam because it is the most expensive part of the mattress. So if you don't turn the mattress the springs won't last as long. THIS IS COMMON SENSE

The mattresses I sell are available elswhere, and there are also other makes of 2 sided pocket sprung/memory foam mattresses on the market.

If you are sad enough to read all my posts then you will see that I do occasionally priase a mattress if credit is due. There are also many MSE members who have bought mattresses off other sellers on my advice.

I am however fed up with the odd paranoid person who comes on here to slate me just because they can't accept that anyone who sells a product could give out helpful and impartial advice.

meester also seems to have forgotten when they asked me for advice, and I actually found them the mattress they were looking for from 3 other sellers (none of them connected with me). I spent my own valuable time doing the research without any personal gain to me. The only person who gained was meester:

And I thanked you for it.

I don't however see that it's unreasonable to call you out when you accuse somebody else of a commercial post, when your purpose for being on this site is to steer people towards mattresses of the kind you sell.

I wouldn't have mentioned it otherwise. Double standards....

You really haven't read my posts have you?

Did I try to steer you towards my products or my site????? I think you will find that the answer is no. So don't start throwing accusations about.

The OP was posting a web site address that they were trying to promote. They have done it before on MSE also. I don't come on here to sell, I come on here because I don't like to see people being ripped off by all the sales gimmicks that exist in the bed industry. If I was just out to make a fast buck, then I would be using those gimmicks rather than exposing them......think about it.

I sell all kinds of mattresses, so how can you say that I steer people towards mattresses of the kind I sell??

In that case you cant help but steer people to the type of mattress you sell...shamless ;)

Give Tim a break meester, he does an awesome job helping us ill-informed mattress newbies with information about what makes a bed last longer and what would suit certain types of person etc. Just cos he sells them too doesnt made it shady, in fact he often refuses to comment on products that may make him a sale...how is that unfair

Keep up the good work Tim :T

Tim, please don't feel you have to justify yourself on here to bad-minded posters. If meester wants to spit his/her dummy out, I am sure there is a creche on mse where he/she can do that without our encouragement
