I've been lurking for a bit but not really been doing much typing.
Last time I was here I said that I since getting debt free, I had got a bit obsessed with the money saving thing and had turned into a bit of a scrooge. The things I said I was saving up for, never for bought and I I got obsessed with putting as much money into savings as I could.
My wife made me see that getting debt free was something that could maybe be celebrated a little bit.
So I splashed out and had a microlight flight. Wanna see the vid?
Awww well done you!!! Hope you enjoyed your little treat, yes i would love to see itA freebie a day sends a smile my way!

It was the most uplifting and exhilarating thing I have ever ever ever done.
It's three weeks later and my head is still in the clouds.

Well its a means to an end at the end of the day though isnt it, helps pass the time and avoid the lonliness of the longer nights alone.

Hey listen, I'm not a great fan of heights. I don't particularly like flying (I tend to spend most flights thinking '3 hours 20 mins until we land, if we don't crash we'll be fine....3 hours 19 mins until we land, if we dont crash...' etc)
I have recurring nightmares about heights
But in the microlight there was simply no fear at all. I was so amazed by the feeling of the wind in my face and the closeness of the clouds that I simply never even bothered to think of the fear factor. It was the best experience I've ever had. It was beautiful. If you ever get the chance, you have to try it.0
