Hope you feel better soon
When is your birthday?
My spending is still haywire - I've got to buy food for uni and possibly petrol0 -
I think it was odd hunger pains!
It's at the end of march, so I have plenty of time! Franks is at the start though, I know the laptop I want to get him so I have a know the ball point figure now.
Mine's settled down, I've got back to the little spending but with lots of temptation ways like before christmas. I'm guessing when I move out it'll be much harder the budget!0 -
Hello!! Im back and im afraid ive been a bad girl! Bought loads of new clothes while on holiday and spent about £200 but i did get a lot for my money I think so thats all good and i dont feel guilty, just need now to pay back the £200 to my savings account
oh and I 'let' the bf buy a really expensive computer today which I dont think he can afford but he has expensive tastes and a love of all things shiney. I bought him a few presents while I was away too but now i really want to buy him a case for the new laptop so that it doesnt get broken! hopefully going to use some bingop0rt amazon vouchers to pay for it though and itll be a nice surprise!
(cinny, maybe factor into buying Franks computer to get him a case too so it doesnt get al damaged while its new and shiney?! just if he doesnt have one allready the right size and what not!)
also had to buy something from ebay to replace something I lost today. only a few £ but i need it and i am a bit annoyed because I lost it in the first place!
On the plus side, I did a few surveys, got a globaltestmarkt cheque today and ordered my next one... did some revision (but not enough) and I listed two (rubbish) things on ebay! and redeemed for amazon vouchers from bport which I should get tomorrow. And while I was away the boy did my scratchcards and we got to the withdrawing level on his account so we got £5 each because I set it up and do most of the work for him
and we're getting close to £10 each on the other site so hopefully his share (hehe £5) will be a little dent towards his new computer - and quidco should track around £22 so that will go towards it. He's working on a sort of "pay yourself back" for the laptop but this is a totally new concept for him to grasp so I hope it works!
I'm desperately looking around for stuff of mine to sell on ebay but i have no idea what sells wellyou got any clues if you ever use it?
Do you still do slice the pie?
Also all the other survey sites and pigsback have got realy rubbish so im a little dissapointed. Think this semester at uni is going to have to be "cut back" not "make more" and I can't cut back much more..Ah well!
I'll check in laater, its waaaay past my bed time but im jetlagged

I am not deliberately avoiding this thread!
Welcome back Tinkerbel. I know the problem about things that sell well. I have piles of things in boxes in my room that I want to sell which don't. I might just give it all to charity. Hope you had a nice holiday?
I had started checking bank balance/writing down what I spent again. I should get £5 from HSBC from going Green. But had to spend over £100 for new glasses and the form I thought would give me discount didn't. Bring on Monday, when my loan comes through.0 -
Tink - I found in the past that anything sells on ebay as long as you make sure you have a decent picture and good discription. Although you spent abit, sounds like you'll be getting a fair bit back in soon in vouchers ect! Sounds like you're doing really well! and did you have fun on holiday?
Not getting Frank the laptop anymore, he said he doesn't want me to be 'poor' because of him. So I'm going to get him all the good stuff he loves but can't afford atm, like his aftershave (£50 - just found out! ) some new shirts, books ect. and his license plates on his car are scratched (alright, completely shattered in places.) so I'm going to give him the money to get new ones. I think he's planning on saving up for one himself when he's finished his training at ladbrokes.
I would now like to inform you both I have finally done the final step to opening my savings account! Sent the copies of my passport off on tuesday so should be getting the details and so on through soon!0 -
Just bought myself a dress and some tights from topshop for £30 (incl postage!) Dress was £20 marked down from £60 and tights were £5 marked down from £10, and I did really want that dress when it was full price! technically saved £45, but determined to make the £30 back with STP and amazon vouchers.0

I knew it would happen one day well done!! lol how long did it take Cin?
The dress and tights sound like a bargain, what kinda style are they? like day, night, casual...?
I got loads of new jumpers and a gorgeous new bag which the boy says he is buying off me for my christmas present lol :rolleyes:0 -
It's a mix of all three I think! It's the Alice McCall bow dress.
And the opening of the savings account took me half a year, oh god, didn't think it was that bad!
where was it you went on holiday? Sweet of your OH to 'pay for' the bag, sounds like something Frank would do for an easier present!0 -
