after watching a scary programme about sodium lauryl sulphite , i went to boots and the only one i could find that didnt have it ,was pearl drops hollywood smile, i found it a good toothpaste too, im back on normal pearl drops now but think i will get some more soon.

Thanks, but that is a bit pricey for me! I did a search and came up with:

hero.jpg Sensodyne Total Care toothpaste for 2.49 at Boots. Here is the review that says it's sls-free.

I have managed to get four coupons from the Sun, but unfortunately two of them are the same date (yesterday's), since I was on holiday until Tuesday night. Does it say anywhere that the coupons need to be all different numbers? I couldn't see that it did.
Or does anyone have a token from Sat-Mon that they'd swap for my Friday token?

Oh, just realised I needed a voucher from Wednesday to attach them to... I don't have that :( Does anyone have a spare?

    I've got vouchers 5 & 6 going spare

If anyone finds any sls-free toothpaste/mouthwash at Boots, please let me know.
I think Sensodyne Total Care Gel is SLS free but contains fluoride, not sure if that is still the formulation now, but it used to be the only non whitening/abrasive one on the 'general' market. Would have to check the ingredients now as this was some time ago.

EDIT: Whoops, just seen you found it...must be correct then!

    OMG!!

I was at a Boots store yesterday, which shall remain nameless, when I noticed one of the SA's wheeling a whole display of John Frieda into the store room. I was asking another SA a question and said "Oh, if you don't want those JF, I'll take them all, for free of course!"

The SA replied, "if we don't sell them, they get thrown away!"

    "What!!!!!" I replied.

"Yes, we have stock turnaround of 2 weeks, every 2 weeks we change the displays. So anything unsold in those 2 weeks gets binned, we don't even get to keep the stock."

I asked why it wasn't put in clearance and was advised it is, but doesn't always sell, so some store managers let their staff take products home but this particular store doesn't and they go in the bin. They don't even get given to Charity or anything like that. I asked if they had a staff suggestion box and the SA said yes, and I suggested they put forward the suggestion that instead of binning these things, they give them to me, as I am a charity, Only Joking!, seriously, I said, suggest they give the food to the homeless charitys locally, and products to womens' refuges or charities for the homeless, etc. I know some of the products will be no good to these people but the charity or home or whatever could sell them and use the proceeds for their cause.

I was told the JF items the SA was putting in the storeroom were still valid but there was no room on the shop floor for them!

    What a waste!

On a side note, I asked why the handcream sold for men has a code underneath on the reciept and says to keep it with the guarantee. I was told because some people have a reaction to handcreams, make up, etc, they use this code to monitor batches and it is required for reimbursement of the product that makes you react.

    HTH.
