  • I noticed yesterday that Olay Regenerist Cream Wash is currently reduced to £4.50 and Olay Regenerist Thermal Polisher currently reduced to £5.50.

This means that I can use my Max Factor GWP (from vanity case wys £25 on MF) voucher for £5 off regenerist to get once of these items either for free or 50p :T Combined with the voucher that gets you free Venus Breeze in there the vanity case gwp really is a good deal and I might get another one with points to post all the goodies to my friend in NZ.

Apart from stocking up on reduced mini mode I am holding off bootsing until any new glitches surface but this is what I am planning:

4 x L'oreal dermo expertise eye make up remover 10.72
    1 x L'oreal dermo expertise cleanser 3.49
    Olay Regenerist Thermal Polisher 5.50
    2 x No7 dark spot stuff 10.50 (bogof)
    No7 gwp

    Initial total 30.21
Handover 250pts wys £30 from ACM, PC £5 off wys £20 on No7, £5 off regenerist, ACM 500pts facial suncare.

    New total 20.21, points back 1470 (includes 600pts wys £14 on L'oreal).

Two flaws with this - I don't need the dark spot stuff (got 2 already) and I am not sure if PC £5 wys £20 on No7 will work before the BOGOF is taken into account. Do we know if PC £5 off No7 is working with this combo?
Should work, has worked for a lot of people so far:T
On the pram subject, I am on my 6th pushchair! So glad DS doesnt really use it anymore, we had no luck with them!

Morning everybody-I've just been reading the news from the mail page , has anyone else read or heard about the little girl and her bad experience at a boots store? We've all had difficult experiences with some boot staff but this story surprised me even more.Sorry I can't do links!

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1035897/Nailed-Security-guard-police-officers-interrogated-grammar-girl-painted-fingernail-Boots.html

Was just reading about that. It does seem a little heavy handed and probably scared the living daylights out of the girl - and frankly I'd probably be mad as hell if it was my daughter, but...

I'm sick to death of buying products from Boots only to get them home and find they've been 'fiddled' with. Or want to buy something only to find that out of the 6 or 7 on the shelf, all have been opened or tested or bits removed. The young lady should've known not to test a nail varnish - she wasn't a todler after all - and how exactly are Boots supposed to recoup the losses sustained by all these products being thrown out because they've been soiled - apart from raising the prices?

I suppose it's a case of damned if they do (make a stand) and damned if they don't. Obviously dramatised at least a little by the Mail - I'll bet the security guard just took her to an office, the police were probably informed and parents contacted.

    (sorry - rant over :o )

Just popped in to say that watch out on the Mitchum 53p offer. You need to make sure that it is 150ml cans as they seem to have replaced them with a bigger size.

I got stuck behind someone who had this problem and the SA ran off to check when queried and when she came back she said somone had stuck the bigger size in the front. And the bigger size rang up at £2.65 on the till

    Calley

    What is the mitchum offer?
Will not spend more money:naughty:, but will spend more time looking for that great bargain!

    4xBaby Expert items @ £1.99 each = £3.98 - 0.98 (2 for £3 deal) - 2.00 (half price) = £2.00 to pay

    4xBaby Expert items @ £2.49 each = £4.98 - 1.98 (2 for £3 deal) - 2.50 (half price) = £1.00 to pay

    4xBaby Expert items @ £2.99 each = £5.98 - 2.98 (2 for £3 deal) - 3.00 (half price) = £0 to pay

    total to pay £3?
    is this correct?
    thanks
How many items are you looking at buying Lucylou as the explanation you have there is for 2 of each item rather than 4?

Edited to say: Lol, sorry got a bit confused there...I see now that you've doubled the total so Yes you're right if you bought that combination of items with the voucher it would cost you £3.

    I agree Blodwin.

But this has made me mad again now.

I work with teens, and I wouldnt like this to happen to any young person I work with. Although, sadly the kids I work with, are regularly stopped in the street by the police, followed around shops by security guards and generally treated like cr** by high street stores

I regularly tell the kids, that pinching a couple grapes in the supermarket, and using items that are not testers, is theft.I suspect had this been one of these kids, they would be facing prosecution..............am I a lefty cynic:rolleyes: .

It makes me so mad they have mentioned she is a grammer school girl, and her parents profession. It shouldnt matter where she is from, or who her parents are.

All children are precious.I really wouldnt want to be a teen again, in this political climate

All opinions are my own, and not that of my employers.

    End of my rant!!!!

Back to Boots.Im off to get another Rainbow Palette for £4.25:)
I appreciate Each and Every win. I thank every comp poster from the bottom of my heart :A

Hi girls (and guys) Didn't manage to get on yesterday, too busy now i'm back at work and had woken at 4.30 am  so was knackered. Anyway got into bed and then couldn't sleep - typical!

well, i'm going to hospital today for my annual check-up (have ankylosing spondylitis) and guess where i'm going afterwards ? It'd be rude not wouldn't it. In the store near the hospital i saw the roc sets you were all posting about for £5 last week but i pm'd SK so she's probably bought them all lol :D and they had td for £1. Gonna try no7 gwp and bogof and have a few 500 points acm/mailing and a lovely old male sa who overrides vouchers. Might try the MM 1/2 price with points back with the one and only voucher i managed to get!
    :kisses2:

I think this story is ridiculous, the poor girl. Why on earth did it take 3 police officers, she wasnt even stealing! I think it is outrageous, people are out in stores doing more than this, and out on the streets. This world is just crazy...!
:jHas saved so much money since joining this forum, thanks to all you kind people out there :j
  • My buggy is a bugaboo chameleon (v generous gift from my mother after DS was born at 29 weeks) which is great if you walk a lot like I do, it's built like a tank and can load ridiculous amount of shopping on it without worrying it will tip up. I would highly recommend getting one secondhand, I certainly intend to sell mine when DS grows out of it. It is a pain for putting in the car though so now that DS is going into his bigger car seat I have just got a Maclaren Triumph from .com which is much easier for tossing into the car but lousy for shopping - DS still only 19lb so changing bag, feeding stuff and one boots shopping bag is all I can manage

I've got to pick a parcel up at sorting office, not ordered anything lately so I've either won something :j or it's some baby wipes from a survey BORING
