When i phoned them and asked what the contents were she didnt know and got some info to read out to me. She said that the meat content was minimum 14% (may have been 4% unsure), but couldnt say from what animals that came from as it varied. So where i thought the food would always have been the same recipe, its not.

    I can recommend the Autarky.
I started using instead of Royal Canin about a year ago and my 3 are doing really well on it

    Autary Contents
    Analysis:

    Protein:
    22%

    Fibre:
    3%

    Oil:
    12%

    Ash:
    6.5%

    Vitamin A 15000 iu/kg
    Vitamin D 1500 iu/kg
    Vitamin E 150 mg/kg
    Ingredients:
Maize, chicken meat meal, rice, chicken fat, green vegetables, carrots, whole linseed, prairie meal, yeast, herbs, spices, seaweed, yucca extract, with EC permitted antioxidants: mixed tocopherols, vitamin C and rosemary extract.

It's about £18 - £20 for 15kgs which is probably similar in price to Bakers?
But it can be difficult to find in local pet shops but they will usually order it in for you, you just have to be a bit organised:D and remember to order a week before you run out!

Just to keep you updated, i got the packaging to send a sample off on Thursday which i did. Today i got a letter from them saying they have received it and have sent it onto their labratory for investigation and i will hear from them when they are done.

Im really unsure what im doing wrong with the pics, will have another go later as i could always do them before.

Frivolous_fay, thanks so much for putting that pic up. I tried putting 3 up but that one really shows the worse, not sure how you got it tho or where from, lol.

My poor dog, i didnt realise how much he misses having his little nibbly bits. Last night he was scrapping at the remainder of a bag of Hills Prescription Diet food when he had kidney stones. So i thought it probably wouldnt hurt to give him a bit, even though i didnt expect him to really eat much of it as it took me all my time to get him used to it when thats all he could have. Anyway, i put a handful in his dish and he was straight on it muching away!!!! SO much for my sausages, veg and gravy . Thought hed prefer that.

Hes been eating what ive cooked each night but the thing is, he has a habit of late at night getting his squidgy balls (meaty meals) and taking bits in the room and laying with them for a bit before eating them. So think hes missing that.

Hes a funny dog, the only one weve all known to pad like a cat on his teddys. Has anyone else come across this? We think he may miss his mum or something (dont tell me that you think that tho or i will feel awful), although he is 5 but hes always done it. He stands with the teddy holding and licking its head, then with his front feet he pads away at it. Sometimes he lays and puts his arms round it and does it. Pity i couldnt put a video on here, then you could see him do it. Its soooo cute.

There's something odd about your links but you only need to paste the IMG code in from photobucket.
or Put before the http...photobucket.com bit and then a at the end.

The ones you have on your post have MSE stuff in the link which is confusing it.

Photobucket is saying that none of the pics in your post are there now... moved or deleted.

For some reason I can's see the link I put in my earlier post - only the pic... weird.

As you will see i have now been able to put the pics up properly. Can anyone help answer a question tho? I used to click on the 'insert image' link at the top of the box and then paste the pic link into the box that came up and this used to work. This is what i was trying to do before when they wouldnt show up.

I have now added them by just pasting the code normally into the text area and this has worked. Im pleased but a little confused

Surely the stuff you can see is only visible because it hasn't been mixed up (like a food processor would). This stuff would be put into the dog food anyway?
