We were in purple and it was pretty close (about 2 minute walk from entrance)
It was a flat £10 per day however long you stay and the parking is open 24/7 so if you went off for dinner somewhere else, you can still get to your car even if the show has closed (apparently!)"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -

Many thanks, Kareem0 -

Apparently everything has a happy ending and if you havent arrived at the happiness, it hasnt ended yet :think:0 -
how long can it take to go round?
Can you go around in 5 hours or do you need more...?
(assuming that at some events you stay longer and other you skip by...)0 -
well we were there 9hrs...we didnt see the boats so we difinitely didnt see everything lol
having said that my son (11) was with us and we had to queue at certain times for him to use playstations or to get in the rally cars and for the remote control cars etc... we also stopped a few times for a sit down, coffee and lunch
it really is a full day i thinkWhen you know better you do better0 -

Depends how much you are into cars.
I was only interested in seeing the concept models and sporty numbers and only took one or two photos. Didn't do any rides or games or sit in many cars (too many people) - So took us about 2.5 hours non-stop at a leisurely pace.0 -
used my free tickets on sat, had family (4) tickets but just used the 2 and got in fine. Plenty to see & do, we got round 4-5hrs, looking in all exhibtion halls & outside at a lesuirely rate.
The top gear stand is good with cars jeremy etc made and u can buy a topgear mag for £1 in a topgear carrier bag (worth it just 4 the bag lol)
Lots of freebies to have too!! free ice pops, water bottles, maps, bike reflector, posters, to name but a few!
Good day out, food in excel bit expensive, but as free day u dont mind too much.
looked like they were running a free bus service to and from the carparks further out.0 -
The OH went today with a weekday ticket, he brought back a book, a baseball cap, a waterball and a few other things, but complained that there was an area upstairs where you had to pay again to get in to see classic cars, so he didn't see those.Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0 -
went today
they just casually looked over the tickets by eye! and waved us through
we didnt pick up as many freebies as some of you report to have got, but think maybe we didnt see it all - we didnt really go into the shop and small stall holder areas where they were selling car "accessories"
people report the drinks to be free at the ford stand, whilst i guess you could just take a drink and run the girls do ask that you put something in the little bear charity box on the stall
i took my nephew, the day was mainly for him, except when it got to the hummers and range rovers - they were mine :j
only slight disappointment for him [& bewildering to me] FIAT was a no show - he really likes the new 500 - we walked at around the whole lot at least 1 + 1/2 times, checked all exhibitors lists on the [free] show guide but they didnt appear to be there
my tip of the day - if you fancy going out on a rib in the marina, go down there and book it as you arrive and then go back to look at the cars, by the time we went outside [about 13.30] and down to the motorboat part, all the rib rides were booked till close of play at 18.30
regards,
