  • If you are changing your phone line across to BT you won't require a "box" you would just join up to another company to provide your calls (CPS).

Might be an idea to start reading the NTL threads here where NTL users have managed to negotiate a better deal with NTL.
  • hey thanks for your help

    i have one more question

is there a phone deal that you can get without a line rental?

i think changing ntl deals are kinda frustrating for me becuase i have done it once before

i remember onetel used to give a box to use cheap phone deals stright away using a bt line

    is that still possible
  • I have discovered Vonage. It is 10 pounds per month and all land line calls in the UK are free. Also another major advantage is that whenever I move homes, or if I go away for longer period of time, I just take the small Linksys box with me, and off we go. The linksys box plugs into your router, your analoge phone plugs into your Vonage Box, and off you go. And quality is great.

If your box supports more than 1 provider, you can try using https://www.sipdiscount.com You deposit an initial £10 and you can call uk landlines and usa landlines& mobiles for free. Ive been using it for a few months now, Saved loads from it!
