Been to swap it - no problems BUT this one also has just the one dead pixel (centre screen). I am now concerned about the overall build of these! Wouldn't you be? Hmmm

Dead pixels aren't as bad as bright pixels... I bought a PC with a TFT and it had a bright green pixel which really annoyed me. Fortunately I managed to get a refund for the whole PC as they had set the BIOS up wrong (long story). In the end I bought a Samsung 173P TFT which
was guaranteed to have no dead pixels by Samsung (as is the 193P). I think there are a couple of Philips TFT monitors which guarantee no bright pixels. I actually bought the TFT from a VAT registered supplier on Ebay who had tested the monitor for dead pixels.... I was far happier buying this tested TFT than taking a gamble on an internet supplier who may not replace if I found any dead pixels. I think it is definitely worth considering before buying.... I am looking for a second TFT and think I would prefer to buy a second hand TFT which is sold with no dead pixels than a new one with no guarantee.

It is possible to produce TFTs to have no dead pixels - as Samsung have shown.... I think it is time manufacturers got their act together.

No. There are a number of 19" TFT of known brand names available on popular online stores, with 3 year warranties.

This screen is a piece of sh**.

£199 is a very poor price for what is a second rate screen.

DVI is digital video input. It means that the output from your computer hasn't been processed to vga format. It supposed to be better. But there is really no difference.

Samsing 913n screen is probably the best screen out there any highly rated by pc agazines such as computer shopper. £181.64 in savastore
