I have to say I don't think this can be beaten in terms of quality vs price. You have to catch it on what Aria call a super special to get it really cheap but 19" TFT with DVI.

However I assume this has already been covered on another threadSmile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
I have found 19" TFT with DVI cheaper, £180.70 delivered at https://www.ebuyer.com0

It is the "benq FP931". Type in 63390 in the search box on the site0

Yes, the Benq FP931 may be cheaper, but it doesn't have the same spec as the Medion one. The Benq has a slower response time (16ms), less bright screen (250cd/m2) and less contrast tones (500:1). Still, it's a good screen.0 -
Comet online have the ACER 1913 for £169.99 (its 179.99 instore)
We bought one last week and the picture quality is excellent

Acer AL1913
- Response Time: 20 ms
- Screen Size: 19 inches
- Brightness: 300 cd/m2
- Contrast Ratio: 800:1 ratio
- Maximum Resolution: 1280 x 1024
- Horizontal Viewing Angle: 170 degrees
- Vertical Viewing Angle: 170 degrees
- 19" LCD Monitor
- 300 cd/m2 brightness
- 800:1 contrast ratio
- 20 ms response time
Another good screen, but no DVI and slower response time (20ms) :rolleyes:0 -
Don't always believe TFT monitor reaction times, because there is no standard of measuring them.
One manufacturer may use colour to colour, one may use black to white, another may even use light grey to dark grey. The push to make sales means that you can almost never trust a spec that looks too good (and at this price, it does.)
The only thing I would personally trust is reviews from people who know what they are talking about. I usually refer to PCFormat myself.
For gaming, you absolutely cannot settle for second best when it comes to reaction timings and contrast ratios. If you want to "R0X0RZ 7EH B1G ONE11!1!!", then this is probably not the monitor for you.
However, for general use you could certainly save a lot of money on this monitor.

20ms is no good for FPS / gaming.
the aldi one at £20 more looks very good spec for that price.0
