Just read that some of you have managed to get AOL for £6.99 per month. At the moment i am paying 14.99pm, and have just threatened to cancel my AOL subscription. It has just taken me 9 premium rate phone calls to get a disconnection problem sorted out:mad: . After the 5th time, I told them that I would cancel the account if the problem wasn't sorted out there and then. Needless to say, it wasn't, so I asked for a MAC code during the next call. The operator told me the code would be emailed to me. I pointed out that I couldn't recieve it as my AOL connection was down! Anyway, on the 9th time the problem was sorted (touch wood!), but now I intend to threaten disconnection and see if I can get the cheaper rate. I have been with AOL for 8 years, so I think my loyalty deserves a discount. And I am totally fed up talking to Indian operators who I can't understand and who don't listen to a word I say. I tell them 'I am using a BT modem', they then ask 'Are you using a modem or router'? AAARRRRGGGG! Apparently, it's luck of the draw as to whether you get through to Ireland or India.0

mariat,
If you want to speak to a rep in Ireland, call before 10 in the the morning, most calls seem to go through to Ireland before that time, I think it's something to do with the global time difference.
If that fails, just press option 3, cancelations, they'll be only to pleased to speak to you then...
Incidently, I think the £6.99 offer ties you into a phone contract with them as well as broadband, fine if you want it...0
