Recently bought a PGO Nokia 1100 from Carphone Warehouse. Wanted a very basic one for emergencies. Their cheapest offer was £19.99 + buy £10 phone credit. However if you traded in your old phone you get £10 credit, so the phone actually cost me £10 ! It certainly seems to be more than a call/text phone can do picture message, games etc, though I haven't studied it yet.
watchpoint: trading-in phone must include instruction book + charger or they reduce the credit.
My question now: does anyone know if I would be able to buy a SIM card in USA to enable its use over there ?

Different frequency bands are used in USA. A quad- or triband GSM phone would be ok, but the 1100 is a basic model that doesn't have the other bands I think.robbos wrote:My question now: does anyone know if I would be able to buy a SIM card in USA to enable its use over there ?

It's £29.99 at The Link, but you get another £10 off if you've got an old phone to trade-inkarmstrong wrote:ASDA are selling the Sagem MYX4 on Vodafone for £28.95 - limited to two per buyer. Not sure if there's any call-credit included in th eprice.
