Have only just read the BBC article on Epson printer chips that you mentioned. What a rip-off. Does anyone out there know how to override the Epson chip system, as I do not like leaving 38% of my ink still in the cartridge.

Just picked up two Jet-Tec black carts for the Epson C70/C80 for £7.50 each delivered. Genuine Epson black carts are £25 each so that's a £17.50 saving!
This is via the BOGOF Jet-Tec offer at theinkfactory which is still on. You can also get GP cashback with each order.
Have used theinkfactory many times and saved an absolute fortune with their BOGOF cartridges.0 -

Depending upon which Epson model you have this may help. http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml0 -
To John-306 Thanks I had seen this site before or was it posted previously. It doesn't look too professional and I wouldn't risk it while the printer is still under warranty. Has anyone any experience of this SSC Service Utility ??? ??? ???"0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0

Hi all,
I have an Epsom Stylus Color 760 and need to know where I can buy the best refill ink? I already have the kit – so I just need the ink, both black and the colour set. Any help would be greatly appreciated

BEAT THIS FOR SERVICE !. I have a less than 1 yr old C82, when the original Epson cartridges were getting low and the warning symbol showed, I went to a computer fair and bought a complete set of four compatables (£25). Within a day or so, the magenta failed. Quite by chance the guy who sold the items had enclosed his leaflet. I contacted him, he came to ME and after seeing for himself, offered either a complete refund or complete replacement set of four, which I accepted, BUT he let me keep the three good ones. The name of the supplier is Northants Ink & Pen Supplies, see https://www.PCFAIRS.FSNET.CO.UK ask for James. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Good service yes, but 4 compatibles for my c82 from a computer fair only cost £16.
Bloke probably only lived 5 mins away, would have been a waste of money any further. Most of traders at our market are from the Manchester area.... 80 miles away.0
