    Hi Heddwen
Has anybody discovered anywhere that supplies cheap compatibles for the all in one Epsom CX5200?

After chosing it for its separate ink cartridges )thus presumably savung money on and ink in the long run),
Ive been told this is one they can't clone!  >:(

    Any advice?

    :)

    https://www.jrinkjet.com have compatible colour cartridges at £5.49 each. I have a cx3200 so I don't know if that's a good price or not. ;)

  • I've been using https://www.inkraider.co.uk for 12 months now and can recommend them. I've an Epson photo830 and found the above 50% cheaper than high street on genuine cartridges.

You might want to check out this BBC news story link

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3035500.stm

makes very interesting reading on the great cartridge rip off. It states for example that a chip in an Epson cartridge flags it as empty when in fact it could print up to 38% more good quality pages.

We are paying 7 times more for our ink than we would for the equivalent amount of vintage champagne.

    Cheers!

Re. Q-ink. I ordered a black and a colour cartridge for an Epson colour 680 from Q-ink. They arrived two days later and only cost £12 all in! Staples price is about £27.

    THANK YOU MONEYSAVINGEXPERT!!!

  • found a small selection of epson cartridges (c42-44, c60-61 and c62-cx3200 and a universal refill kit for Hewlett Packard, Brother, Epson, Lexmark, Canon, Xerox)

b+W are 4.50, colour 4.95 inc P&P. I've bought music CDs from the site before and had swift delivery. Placed an order for some c62 carts so I'll let you all know if I get them quickly and if they're any good!

  • got my two cartridges yesterday (see above). Both work fine on paper and printable cds. Definitely no more branded carts for me :)

  • I get mine from the regular computer fairs - £2.50 to get in last week and got 6 pairs (6 black and 6 colour) of compatible cartridges for a C60 for £30. Have always done this and never had problems.
