Wow people seem to be writing very harshly in the first few replies to this post.
Welcome to the site and don't be scared to continue using it.
In your position I would ask for the hotel to send you a copy of the corrected bill so you can compare it against the bill you signed off. If the additional charge (hotels' mistake) seems correct then I'd phone them and say that you are concerned they made such a major error and ask if as a gesture of goodwill, since the error was theirs, they can reduce it from £100 to £75 and then pay up. if they say no then I think you should probably pay up anyway but sate that you are disappointed with them and that you will not use them again. I'd be tempted to follow this up in writing to the manager and ask for some compensation (maybe a reduction next time ytou stay or free meal etc) Good LuckMS Stalwart. This story seems to have evolved since the first post. Initially it appeared the OP was saying he had been undercharged by the hotel and was aware of this (he asked them to double check because he felt the bill was too low). He was then contacted and asked for the additional payment but refused to make it.
The story now seems to be that the OP has no idea what the additional charge is for and didn't incur these costs and has been charged unfairly.
Maybe I am getting confused, but I suspect a number of the hostile replies are because people thought he was trying to avoid paying for costs he knew he has incurred.
