I had a terrible relationship with my dad until a couple of years ago. It was so bad I had to leave home at 17, I didn't dare call the police to him any more incase he got in trouble. Sounds a bit strange but no matter what I adore this bloke because he's my dad and couldn't deal with him being in a cell. Things got a bit better once I'd left home but still not great. But a couple of years ago he had a serious illness and his life was in danger, since then he's been a different man. I don't know if it put things into perspective for him but I now laugh with the my dad for the first time I remember in my life.Debt busting! Jan 2014 £7632.50 £7445.80

That's the really difficult bit - I love him and would hate for anything to happen to him (already had a cancer scare with him) but he doesn't do very well as fathers go. I think I find it worse because we were really close when I was younger, until he realised I wasn't a little girl who would believe everything he said and worship the ground he walked on. He has let me down and hurt me so many times now that it has become what is expected, but I always hope he'll surprise me.Reality check - hit rock bottom on 15 Dec 2008 with unsecured debts of £29,136 and not enough money to live on

Yeah, I go home everyday

I should get her on a Friday afternoon or a Saturday and I was planning on taking the Monday off so we could have a long weekend to get used to each other. Do you honestly think it's a good idea? Because, with people I know trying their hardest to put me off, I'm really starting to doubt it.Reality check - hit rock bottom on 15 Dec 2008 with unsecured debts of £29,136 and not enough money to live on

Even Sex and the City seems to be conspiring against me. It's a program I usually love but it's just highlighting all the crappy bits in my life tonight.Reality check - hit rock bottom on 15 Dec 2008 with unsecured debts of £29,136 and not enough money to live on
