This really should be called the Dalip appreciation thread!

Broken hearted – I have to agree with everyone else and I really don’t see what you are doing posting here, even the sticky posts say – this is for people doing bankruptcy, they are here for support, not to be judged – we don’t all life like you and if your sole purpose here is to try and make other people feel bad then you really are an awful person.

Like many others here – I would love to pay my debt back, but it isn’t possible – no matter how hard I tried I just can’t do it. I’m 22, I shouldn’t have to spend my life being punished for my own and other people mistakes. At least the people here have the courage to accept when they are defected and give in. It is, I’m sure, by no means easy, but we get to start again afterwards with the knowledge that non of us want to be back in these circumstances again, so if nothing else, it has helped us grow.

I am not BR, not even in debt (don't ask me why I come here, still trying to work that one out!) but I have been staring down the barrels of BR (yes it even felt like that) before now, way way back in the mid 90's. It was only the fact that we just couldn't get the pennies together to do it plus the old fashioned view of BR that we didn't.

We did pay our debts back eventually but at what cost? A mental breakdown or 2 for me, years of doing without and still not going forward, a gradual decline in my physical health because of going against doctors orders and working as many hours as I could to get more money just so we could feed the electric meter or get a bag of potatoes to do a cheap meal.

Yes we did manage to get out of it but it doesn't make me feel any better or superior to those who did go bankrupt....it gives me empathy to their situation.
