Its a real shame when people come on to this forum to poke fun and make bad comments about people who are really in the brown stuff and looking for a way to resolve the situation. I agree with all the comments people have written on here about circumstances 5 years ago i was like BH i had debts and could pay them but after 2 redundancies and not finding jobs straight away i found myself with no other option than BR.

BH you are lucky to be in the position so please remember that no one sets out to become BR and also remember "what goes around comes around" i really believe in this so be carefull when being like you are with others as you may find yourself in the same situation down the line and lets by honest you may find sympathy a bit thin on the ground in this forum now.

Yet paying the debt back I'm in a much better situation than you dalip, taking the easy option didn't work for you and now your DH is going to end up the same way. Perhaps if you took some of that fight and put it into sorting out your life you'd find a way out of your situation.
Life isn't easy especialy when people can't face the truth of a situation.

BH I am really shocked that after all the time you spend coming onto this forum that you have not started to realise what a gut wrenching decision declaring BR is for most people. You read countless stories on this forum, all from people in dire situations that simply can't see a way forward any more. Many of these people have had breakdowns or are suffering from severe depression as a result of taking the 'easy' option. If it's such an easy option how come so many of the posters on this forum end up so poorly as a result. Yes, the actual process is fairly straightforward but I don't know how for a second after reading so many of peoples experiences you can even consider it to be an easy option. Even though you yourself haven't gone BR, having spent so much time visiting this forum any 'normal', decent person would have seen the heartache and devastation Bankruptcy causes many many people.

As for you making a personal attack on a very highly valued member of this forum, I find that totally unacceptable. Dalip is one in a million, she is so sweet, has a heart of gold and goes way beyond writing those words that you see on the screen often supporting people 'behind the scenes'. She is a credit to this forum, as are many others, and I sincerely hope that the powers that be take notice of your vindictive postings and remove you asap. It's high time you took your bitter and twisted view elsewhere.

Well said girl!! Agree with every word.:T The whole point of this forum is support & BH must know this as many posters have told her on numerous occasions.

  • :T thankyou dalip.

My opinion is its not stealing at all,
i hate all banks now, yes i got myself into the debt, but what were they thinking givin a 19year old 10grand, then when you tell them your struggling they don't care or just offer you a credit card.
They allowed you to get into the shi* by not helping you sort out a reasonable repayment so i say take what you can get if it helps you with the br fee's.

good luck with the car haha

Good morning Dalip, Angel oh and of course Red (long time no see!!) ;) .

Just have to agree with comments above, Dalip has been a rock with everyone... Helped in many ways that she doesnt even realise and to be knocked down when feeling so low already does'nt help anyone.

You all know my story inside and out by now so i'm not going to bore you all with it again but i just wanted to say that without the open support i've had on here which has helped me in no end move on with my life in terms of financial and personel ways i dont know how i would have got through all this and even if i would have made it after my illness.

Thanks to one and all who have helped in unmeasurable ways without any questions of wanting thanks or praise for what you all do. The support on the BR forums by in large is 2nd to none and it needs to continue for all newcomers to ask for the help they so rightly need.

BR is not an easy option at all..We all have differing reasons for having to declare, some we could have avoided others that were forced upon us but for what ever reason it is then support is whats needed and not the belittlling attitude that has been posted on this thread to someone i consider to be a dear friend and who at this point in life needs some caring words of comfort and not being made to feel lower than she already does.

Dalip - You know who your friends are my sweet and we will be here for you no matter what happens and true friends always are. Have a good day and hope it gets better for you soon.

    Take Care

BH i never lost the fight for others just for myself, temp and i have the others on my thread to thank for that. How come you never answered my question ? Have you had your fun for the day?,fished and caught a fish?, Shame the only spark you show is in putting other down.I really feel so sorry for you girl, you need so much help, but your attitude is really beyond my simple caring mind.:p

Dont stop doing what your doing Dalip, youve been a rock for everyone here, and you have helped me loads in threads and via PM and I appreciate it and have a lot of respect for you because of it.

BH is just being condesending and holier than thou with her attitude, but one day she will pay the price of having to post on here because her debts/circumstances have changed and will expect the support and guidance that we are all here for. (this has been mentioned above and agree wholeheartly).

Just keep going Dalip, remember we all love you and what you do to help us.

  • Dalip, I just wanted you to know that you've been an absolute gem from the get-go. Admittedly, I've only been posting on the br board for a couple of weeks but you've helped me so much already. Coming to the decision about going br is nerve wracking enough, then the actual preparation for it sends you (well, me at least) into a blind panic. I'm so much calmer and prepared for whats ahead of me and thats thanks to dalip and everyone who has responded to my posts on this board.
I do still remain a little confused about BH's 'Jekyl 'n' Hyde' approach  to posting but I guess I'll have to lurk a little more to find out what thats all about.

However, I can only see BH's post as a positive thing now as it has illustrated perfectly the huge level of support for people on the br board. Thank you one and all x x
