Well I for one only went in last week to buy the 50p items and came away with a lot more shopping too.
I spent money I wouldn't have otherwise spent there so although it may be a loss leader for them it attracted me to the store, otherwise I would have gone to Mr T's.0 -
i was told today teh burgers are not on offer anymore....all i seen was the sausages and lettuce in the aberdeen one0

My store struggled to have the stuff in, managed a pack of grillsteaks one day, but went twice more (both early morning) and none in, also got a couple of packs of burgers/sausages and chicken. Whilst I was in though the staff didn't seem happy with it at all, I wonder if they trialed it to see how it went and will maybe rethink it being a permanent thing! (heres hoping)...
One thing they were saying was that some local businesses come in every day and buy stuff like lettuce and that it would be impossible to tell them that they can only have 2 items!Jun GC £250.00/£12.40 NSD 3 / 30

My local store had plenty of the 50p items yesterday. They also had 200g packs of diced chicken breast for 50p too0

Went into the Solihull store today and there was no mention of 50p items. The only item I did find were the rolls, of which they had loads, but there didn't even seem to be any signs where the other items would have been.
Yet I thought they were suppose to be changing the items on Mondays.0 -
Price crunch has disappeared off their website. I think their promotion has ended.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Deals change every tuesday in our local store.
not quite true, this particular deal is from monday(but seems to have ended very early from what we was orignally told), ambient grocery deals change every monday on a 3 week cycle(so the offers last for 3 weeks, but change some of them every week), fresh and frozen change on a tuesday every 3 weeks, HTH DaveTake every day as it comes!!0 -
Morrisons dropping this promo MAY be a good sign, actually. The major supermarkets are demonstrably losing market share to the 'value' supermarkets (Aldi, Netto, Lidl) and their response is to initiate short-term loss leaders to attract their traditional buyers back...whilst happily upping the prices elsewhere in the store. I genuinely hope it doesn't work and they re-think thier policy and maybe decide to compete with the value players by keeping their costs across the range as low as possible and not just by chucking out a few uber-cheap deals and making up the shortfall by upping their prices elsewhere (sermon over, lol)Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0
