Morrisons dropping this promo MAY be a good sign, actually. The major supermarkets are demonstrably losing market share to the 'value' supermarkets (Aldi, Netto, Lidl) and their response is to initiate short-term loss leaders to attract their traditional buyers back...whilst happily upping the prices elsewhere in the store. I genuinely hope it doesn't work and they re-think thier policy and maybe decide to compete with the value players by keeping their costs across the range as low as possible and not just by chucking out a few uber-cheap deals and making up the shortfall by upping their prices elsewhere (sermon over, lol)

i know that the admin team in our store had a lot of price changes to do this sunday gone, more than usual, whether the majority of those price changes were lower i dont know
