    Hi guys

I am looking for advice for old style cleaning

What can i use as an anti bacterial spray , for my kitchen surfaces and chopping boards ? And what sort of quantities is needed to make up a bottle?

And what can i use instead of supermarket polishing wipes ?

Any help would be great

I'd buy a tin of good quality furniture polish and use an old cloth or rag. Those spray cans don't last long, and nor does the shine. John Lewis sold me some good furniture polish, but my tin has lasted years and still has plenty left, so I've not been buying it recently.

Everything else I clean and dust with microfibre cloths, and a little detergent if the surface is washable.

As for anti-bacterial, we never use any of these products. Mostly I clean with soda crystals and stardrops. I don't believe they're as healthy as we're told they are, and I know we don't really need them. I've not used them for years, and we're all perfectly healthy.

Had to stop sorting out DD's bedroom as she's now gone to bed. Walk in wardrobe is sorted out and I've got 1 bag for the charity shop and 2 bags of rubbish. Only trouble is the stuff I'd got in the bed is now on her bedroom floor and you can't see any of the carpet! She's got way too much stuff - I'll have to get rid of some of it - trouble is she's a hoarder like me!:o

I'm going to have a bath now so I'll probably catch you all tomorrow on the new thread.

PP - hope you have a better day tomorrow

Rach - hope your back feels better tomorrow

    Hugs to all

Well productive ish day, and whoooosssshhhh there went the weekend.

Anyway, 5 loads of washing, bathroom floor was clear ............then a magical stromping daughter type fairy made a huge pile of dirty blinkin washing appear.....THANKS..... not.

Side issue, is there actually anyone on this planet who has ever made/manufactured a realistic sized wash basket? 'Cos I've never blinkin seen one.

Anyway all is good, I'm grooving out to abit of Ice T at the moment.

Possibly the not the norm for flyladying but it does for me. *Reminder to self, I am not a gangster from south central los angeles, I'm a 40 year old married woman from Hull*....:p:rotfl:

Cleaned microwave, made bread, about to make cake, got some reduced plants for my garden, erm, erm and did other things which I can't remember.

    Right catch you all later.:wave::dance:

Fingers crossed it doesn't just go off into cyber space yet again.

    Happy Birthday Soappie!

Kaz - I had to re-read your post, I guess alcohol goes straight to your fingers just like me! Made me laugh anyway.

Ground floor is now clean, and what was our bedroom has a stud wall ready for the electrician to come and wire in sockets etc. A really productive weekend. I even did 30 lengths this morning!
