TAG, Not read S. Grafton might give them a go if you recommend them , I read all P Cornwells books about Scarpetta and also Kathy Reichs books. I prefer Reichs, her characters are more sympathetic I think. But K.Slaughter is better than both of them. I tend to get them second hand though but relented on A cold faint fear as after 5 months I still hadn't found it!

Pigpen If I send you monetary (or other) favours your way, will you stick needles in the voodo doll in the right places for me to develop muscletone without exercise?

mojt Not just men that don't see the mess, here I am the culprit. If I can step over it, it's not a mess! Which is why I am here.:o

Good Evening Ladies, and Welcome the the newbies!

Stayed out a little longer than planned last night, and might have had a few more drinks than was wise for a 5am start, so I thought I would give flying a miss apart from a few dailies like S&S and the DW (too wet for WM). Was relaxing with the thread after dinner while the DS's were playing quietly in the dining room... or so I thought. OH called me about 10mins after I had checked on them. They'd found a permanent marker and decorated themselves and the wall! Thankfully they'd been sitting under the table so you can't see the mess without bending down, but it's looking like we're going to be sourcing some cheap paint to repair the damage :( I've just spent 20minutes scrubbing it with no luck. So much for my night off.

Off to put the DS's down for the night now, OH bathed them first :) and then it's a quick S&S in the kitchen, a long soak for me and an early night.

still sat holding a grizzly baby. well peeved off with dh as he is late. sent me a text which is an improvement, but all it said was ' going to be late' no idea of time.

I still feel like crap, and Ds1 has been really acting up today too cos we were up so early and sam has had the lions share of attention today. I had a complete melt down at bath time. I was just sat on the bathroom floor with the pair of them screaming at me, and ds1 throwing water everywhere, and i ended up sobbing my heart out for about 5 minutes. I honestly felt like i might hurt ds1, and i know it is because i am mentally and physically exhausted, plus full of this cold and the tooth. Capped it all off when i was trying to feed DS2 and read to ds1 while drinking a tea, and ds2 knocked the cup with his arm and ended up wearing some of it, it was still fairly hot too, so thankfully he has just gone up a size in clothes and they are a bit baggy as it wasn't his skin.

dh is away working fri night and all of saturday too, so no chance of respite at the weekend.

i am going to have to try and get some rest this evening and get in bed a bit earlier - i feel like i am getting PND, but i want to try and relax a bit and handle it myself.

Thank god you lot are here for a sanity saver.

Drink of choice here would be a bottle of Rose with a box of chocs, but who can afford either at the moment?

hex you have my sympathies dealing with your two at the moment. I can imagine i will have similar with my two with the closeness in age. A little bit of blood goes a long way too.

anyway, ds1 in bed, ds2 finally a bit happier on my knee, so i think i will try and put him down and start doing some veg chopping for dinner. Might cook it anyway and if DH can't be bothered to give me an ETA he can sort himself out later. I am really fed up.
