This happened to me once in Argos with a Digital Camera. I didnt open the box till I got home Saturday night and had to wait till Monday to go back. It turned the Camera was on show and thats why the box was empty. They realised when it showed no more phones in stock but they still had one on show. I hope you manage to sort it out. Good luck

Are you an expert then?
I think it is simply a case of not boring us with the technical detail.
If I am asked for a legal opinion (my job) I don't give essays referring to dissenting judgments going back to the 1700's as I quite rightly expect people to be put off by that.0 -
For what purpose would the SIM card store the IMEI of each phone it has been in?0

Maybe not Tozer but would you put a long long time ago far back somewhere in history - doesn't really credit you with knowing what you're saying. And yes I'd guess I know quite a bit more than her on the matter.0

So care to talk us through the technology if you think you know more?0 -

Just an executive summary would be good.0 -
Basic limitations of the Sim card was that the memory was around 16k, if I remember correctly, which is not exactly huge and only good to store a few hundred phone no.s and 10-20 texts. Even 'deep deep in the circuitry' there's not any more storage for magical things and tbh the programmers might get it to record the current imei but there's little point in wasting the limited storage capacity on recording every phone it's ever been in.0

I remember reading that the standard was 64k or 128k. I know that Orange was trailing 512k sim cards two or three years ago.
OP- Did they get a refund or new Phone?0
