How to get 4 kids in a citroen xsara picasso

It does look great but it doesn't look like they would offer much side impact protection though.
If the dividers were shaped to offer upper body protection and created more of a seat i would buy one.0 -
The picaso is great for acommodating a seat and two boosters in the back as it has three separate seats rather than one long one, but you need more than that! as others have said, looks like you are looking at another car, or planning so you dont need to all travel together, at least until you can sort something else out.
Maybe the dealer you got your car from would consider a trade up? you would perhaps loose out a bit, but they may be more flexible than going elsewhere, especially if you are wanting something bigger?
I would recommend looking at a fiat multipa (3 seat in the front, three in the back) will accomodate three child seats in the back, (depending on model of car seat)....my friend had triplets and they all got in the back, right from newborn-but they are ugly (the car, not my friends kids!!)
Or try a vauxhall Zafira, which has two extra seats in the boot area, so should be made stronger at the back I assume..best wishes to you and your growing family!
As all above comments- you have a 5 seater car, for 6 people you need a biggercar, or a buss pass for the2nd adult- don't laught- if you don't go out much as 6 people do the realistic maths first- you could probably afford a big taxi for one trip a week if most of the time it is just mum an the kids, while say Dad is at work, and be under the costs of running a bigger car (more expensive to buy/run and espeially tax!)0 -
Well I have five kids so know the predicament. I used to buy new cars but realised the money I wasted on them-so now buy second hand and just lok for very good low mileage ow owner cars. Being a lone parent I have to watch the purse strings and can't afford too new cars but really needed a low cost MPV. I have a 9 year old nissan serena 8 seater, had one owner from new and only 65000 on clock and I love it-cost lol £750. It is the best car I have ever had, fits all of us in and rear seats fold to side for bags of storage. We just got back off holiday and I had huge 3 wheeler buggy, suitcases, kids suitcases, cool box and tins of food bags. We go camping in it and it is cheap to run having 1.5 engine. Low tax too. I used to resort to loans to buy cars but I would never ever do it again for partially the reason you mentioned, if you need a change or your situation changes-you are stuck. I now believe-just my opinion-if you can't pay cash for a car then don't buy one. New cars are a waste of money, might aswell set your money alight and watch as you lose it and there are so many cars second hand at much better prices for cash that it is best saving up than getting loan. Anyway I digress apologies, but why not get one of these as a second car-you can get then from £500 - "1500 for a decent year.0

thats really good, i've never seen that before. surely thats the answer to the OP's problem?!
Yep!! and the OP found it too!! :T
I just wondered if anyone had actually got one. It does look from the website as if it is a new product and no one seems to stock it yet. However, it does seem to have passed all the safety tests and in some respects is better than individual seats.

They also seem to have the insurance angle covered.0 -
I looked at it and thought it looked great! The safety and insurance angle look covered. It made me really want one. The thing is, with just me and a 5 seater I have no need for one what so ever. Shame! I bet in a few years we'll all wish we invented that! There is no such thing as a free lunch. Its only free because you've paid for it.
Noone can have everything they want and the sooner you learn that the better.
