Got an e-mail from The Sun stating there is a free Clockwise DVD starring John Cleese in this Sunday's News of The World.
  • I have just got the Times and there is no DVD in it - looking through the newspaper it says that it is in the Sunday Times - tomorrow.

I have been unable to find the Donnie Darko dvd with today's Times and there is no reference to a free dvd on the front page of the paper. Should there have been a dvd with the paper?
  • We have already had the "Clockwise" dvd in the NorthWest. News of The World seems to be quite regional in its offers - caveat emptor (and no, that's not another film on offer!!!!!)

Me too. DVD is in tomorrow's Sunday Times. Drat! I'll have to read the paper now so as not to have wasted the money!
  • North West, I didn't get the DD DVD either. I had a promo email from the Times yesterday and it said Free THIS WEEKEND. so maybe they are doing different regions on different days. Bit of a sneaky way of getting people to buy papers they don't want although, to be fair, it doesn't say anything about it on the front page. I got my son to pick the paper up after his paper round, if I had got it I would have had a closer look. The Times is a good paper though so don't mind too much. Trouble is, with the better papers I find it takes a few days to read them properly. I've only just finished last weeks!

VERY SURPRISED to find a DVD in today's Daily Mirror when I got to my newsagent. (Derby - East Midlands - Central)

It could be regional but I doubt it looking at the full details which I've since found were published in yesterday's (Friday) Mirror. (wonder why nobody posted this before?)

This is the first in a set of seven DVDs - "The Greatest Shows on Earth - Drama"

Today's DVD is Inspector Morse (John Thaw) in the episode "The Dead of Jericho" - starring Gemma Jones

In tomorrow's Sunday Mirror is John Thaw again but this time as KAVANAGH Q.C. - in the episode "Nothing But the Truth" - starring Ewan McGregor & Alison Steadman

Whilst today's and tomorrow's DVD is INSIDE the newspaper, next Monday's to Friday's is a collect from WOOLWORTHS or send away 5 tokens and pay P&P of £2.95.

    The DVDs are:

Mon - Auf Wiedersehen, Pet - "Home thoughts from Abroad"

Tue - Sherlock Holmes - "The Eligible Batchelor" starring Jeremy Brett (Holmes) & Edward Hardwicke (Watson)

Wed - A Touch of Frost - "Private Lives"

Thur - The Darling Buds of May - the 1st episode

Fri - The Saint - 2 episodes starring Roger Moore as Simon Templar - "The Talented Husband" & "The Latin Touch"
