IT SEEMS LIKE A CHEAP SCAM TO BUILD AN EMAIL MAILING LIST.
As I have still not received their email to confirm IF my application was successful, I phoned The Scotsman today to be told that ALL who applied online WILL receive the DVD, but please allow 28 days. (She admitted that "IF you have won" was misleading.)0 -
Sigur Ros album 'We Play Endlessly' will be given away free with The Independent on Saturday on 31 January.
Offered in association with Q magazine, 'We Play Endlessly' features nine tracks taken from three of their critically acclaimed albums, including the hugely popular Hoppipolla and Sæglopur.
P.S. Anyone know how to put accents in here <ctrl><alt>o keeps coming out as an exclamation mark?0 -

It used to work - not sure why it changed - but !!! is the standard replacement for words recognised as swearing etc. and filtered out accordingly.
I have found that sometimes you can put them in if you edit a post after they have been filtered out.
(I think you have to do it immediately, within 1 minute, of making the originaly post - such that the "Last edited by xxxx etc. DOES NOT APPEAR.)
Alternatively use uppercase >>> Á É Ó

Thanks
I have the address from the Saturday Jan 24 Mail for the Lady Chatterley bonus disc - which is PO Box 5001, Dept LCL, Alton, Hants, GU34 9BY.
I seem to remember the Dept for the costume drama collection was something like Dept BC2 (for British classics 2.) But I might be mistaken? I think the rest of the address is the same though. Sorry not to be more help, its pure fluke that the paper I've still got escaped the recycling!0 -

I can confirm
British Classics DVD Collection
PO Box 5001,
Dept BC2,
Alton,
Hants,
GU34 9BY.
Happychappy, your post said about where to "send off the vouchers" - you don't mention the "application form" which I'm presuming you don't have since the address is printed across the top.
This is for your name, address etc., it has tick/check boxes for the 2 options of £6.99 (12 DVDs) or £9.99 (12 DVDs + Presentation Case) and a "mini survey" What's your normal Daily paper? How many times a week do you buy?
What's your normal Sunday paper? How many times a month do you buy?
The last form I'm sure was was on the final day of the offer (excluding Lady Chatterley on Sat 24th Jan) which was actually on Friday 23rd, not the 21st.
I guess if you haven't got one or can't get one you'll just have to try without it.
