Thanks, but I'm an engineer and shoes are something I've no interest in I'm afraid.
Now, a nice Snap-on screwdriver or 4 inch adjustable...................that's more like it :j
Heyy!! - if I could work out a way to post a picture of my big 8" ......................ajustable on here I would !...but I cant ,,,,and er anyway ,it would be getting off the OP subject (that would be me:D )0 -
Sometimes, but usually I prefer the satisfaction of getting a really good bargain.yes ,but are you prepared to wait 3/5/7 days - dont women want instant gratification ?
I listed an item recently at a start price of £1.99 or BIN £4.99... bidding started and it eventually sold for £6.50.0 -
I do both. I only usually do a BIN if I need the item quickly. If I'm looking for something to bid on I usually only look at whats finishing in the next day or two. Especially where the catagory has lots of listings (like clothes). If I'm looking for something specific I will wait 7/10 days. I don't refresh though at the end of the auction. I decide what I want to pay, make a bid and then don't look when its finishing. That way I'm not tempted to pay more!!!

That's quite true, ebay has a stated policy of moving away from the car boot style end of the market and towards the shopping mall-professional buisness sellers-BIN type venue.
This has already starte din fact with business/powersellers with good stars paying lower fees that the rest of us and getting a great deal more protection than the average seller.
If you are selling new shoes and obviously registered as a business with ebay then you may do very well , if hwoever you are just selling off your old unwanted items then you may find it more of a struggle whether you opt to BIN or auction them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I don't mind BIN but auctions are more fun. If I really want something I might get caught up in 'auction fever' but usually I'll just bid my max then keep an eye on it.
When Ebay goes all BIN it'll be as boring as any other website. No reason to shop there as opposed to anywhere else.0 -

Very funny! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
The trouble with the shops on EBay is that it's no real bargain. The prices aren't any better than the High street, so once you've added on postage, and packing (which sellers are increasing charging OTT for - i.e 'I pay 20p for a plastic bag so I'll sell it to you for 50p) it's not worth buying from considering the risks sometimes.
So, if they are moving away from the car boot style, then they become just another shopping mall.
Might as well not bother, maybe another auction site for me, one who likes a bargain.
It's not what EBay was invented for.................... is it?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

It has also been proven that internet shoppers want to make their purchases and receive their goods as quickly as possible, and with as little fuss as possible - a potential reason why buyer feedback is not as forthcoming as it once was. Feedback does not form part of the general "online shopping process" and is merely a quirk of eBay.
Not just ebay
I bought something earlier this week and paid by Google Checkout
I got an email request from Google asking me for feedback on the seller0
