  • Sorry if this has already been asked, if I win a twitter comp how will I know I've won? Do I have to go through my whole timeline and look out for my name or will they PM me to let me know?

    Thanks

Most often they tweet something like "congratulations @name you have won, contact us for how to claim". Twitter automatically sends you an email when your name is mentioned like this, sending you a link to the tweet. So you don't need to pay too much attention to your timeline :D
    Good luck

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post. I had a PM notice pop up just now saying One-Eye had sent me a private message. When I went into my messages it wasn't from One-Eye but from somebody called Zorica saying I needed to make my password stronger and to click on a link. Not sure if it is, but it just looked a bit dodgy. It was sent at 1am, but I've only just received it. Also, this person doesn't look like they've posted for a while (could be wrong). It is titled 'Forum Passwords' and says:

    Hi there,

As part of our Forum Redesign, we want to make sure forum users’ passwords are as strong as possible and our techies have asked us to get in touch to make yours more secure.

If you could you give us a hand by changing your password to something stronger when you next log in we’d be very grateful.

To change your password go to your Edit Password page.

To make it stronger use a combination of upper and lowercase characters, numbers and letters.

Thanks in advance for your help

Is it safe? (Please can someone move this if I've put it in the wrong place).

hi weareghosts, have you sent velvet a pm :)
    she usually asks we do..

    Hi all,

Big thank you to all the compers who PM me to let me know when there is something to amend in the Guide. It may be my name on the posts but it is kept up to date by effort from all of us!

If you do spot anything on the Forums that you think should be added to / amended in the Guide then please send me a PM - I would prefer 15 different members send me a message about the same thing than everyone thinking someone else will do it & I don't get any!

Likewise, if you read anything in the Guide that you think may be old or things have changed, please send me a PM. I have read the Guide so many times now that I can't see things for looking! :o

    Thanks x

    ETA..
pm sent to velvetglove with ref to this x
