    The Post Office service does not get done any quicker though, they just get to take the blame if the application is rejected.

    i sent my familys off through the postoffice check and send, and we had a letter saying the one photo failed, thought the po knew what they were doing

    I sent my application off last monday and they have taken the money out of my account this week. does this mean i won't have an interview? it's my first passport but i was on my mum and dad's when i was a child.

    What did it fail on? My PO clerk put the pictures in a special little handheld checker although I don't know exactly what she was checking. For the three renewals I was with her for nearly half an hour. I was impressed. I'm sorry to hear your service wasn't so smooth - have you got it sorted now?

    It is a worry when you are up against a limit isn't it? I had four months left on ours but didn't realise for some places you need a lot of time on it remaining after your planned return so the renewals had to be done PDQ.
