Depression Support Thread

(((hugs))) fellie, think i know how your feeling right now, was supposed to be seeing my cpn today too, was told she was running a couple of minutes late, so i waited and waited, and after 45 mins, sat there, felt so sick and panicy and bad thoughts, so i left, and went to see my mum, as if i had gone home i would have sh'ed too.
just feel like even those supposed to help dont care. dosent help much being tired and unable to sleep either. and i'm sick of being indoors and it raining all the time.
top it all off been told teachers strike next weds and thurs, so they breaking up for school hols on tues, as fri b4 school hols is half day anyway and teachers decided no point reopening school for half day

I had a good day today gosh I just had a panic :rotfl: didnt realise I was offline was reading on here and thought my post this morning had got deleted :rotfl: then I realised I was working offline :rotfl: what a nut I am :rotfl:

I am relaxing tonight,watching Home and Away soon as I need to do a catch up tonight,Not seeing my CPN until around 28th July as shes on holidays and she will phone me back then and arrange to see me,so I have a bit of a wait and then its two days after that I see Kylie!!!

Thanks Shaz. It just brought it home that she is paid to care, and really, she couldn't care less about me. Just feel a bit let down. Had she known me, she'd have been able to tell that I was low and needed some support.

No-one really cares about thier jobs do they? CPNs, teachers etc

I am off to my pottery class as its the last one but not doing pottery today as its just finishing paperwork etc and chatting to friends then off to a cafe for coffee and cake

Maybe you're just a good actress .... she likely does care and if you had said that you were disappointed to not get to see her she might have suggested coming to see you sometime sooner ....

Your response that if she had cared she would have known somehow is heading you for disaster ...

She is on holiday. Today was the last chance to see her before her holiday. I know I sould have told her that I'm low today, but I'm not good at opening up, especially on the phone. I'll make a note of it and tell her next time I see her that I'm not able to open up on the phone.

you get the odd ones that care, my alcohol counsillor yesterday for example, asked how i was, and i just fine i dont need no more appointments, he knew by how i sounded that i wasnt fine. but to be honest i just feel like giving up and drinkin all time again. anyway we had good chat and as he does care he keeping an eye on me over next few weeks over school hols, my most stressful time, and seeing me regularly
my cpn on other hand, openly admits she done all she can, and is only seeing me as gp is too busy and refers me back to her

Thats a good idea ... I dont particularly like using the phone either... I'm guiltly of similar things - when my counsellor cancelled, she apoligised the following session and I was like Oh its fine when really it hadnt been at all especially since I had 3 sessions with her anyway (which she knew).

I hope this isnt taken wrong, it's fantastic that there is such a place where you can open out your inner thoughts, like most, I have dark days and times, most of the time I can shake them off within a day or two, but this could turn out to be a real light that I can turn on being able to post on here, I must admit I havent read all the pages and pages of posts, but maybe I can help someone out there when theyre at their lowest and visa versa.
