I am ok thank you, cannot believe how good I have felt for the past couple of days. Hubby says that I must be feeling better as I have been spending money lol. Taking dd to Peterborough in the morning ahhhhhhhh jumping in the deep end. She is going on school trip next week and needs a few bits.
Glad you are coping with the job and as you say while you are there at least you can be looking for something else to suit you.

I hope no one minds me posting here but I'm wanting some advice on how I can support a friend that I'm concerned about.
We are more friendly than friends but she has involved some mutual friends in a dodgy investment and they have lost their money (she thought and still does think that it is just bad luck and the investment went wrong even though it is fairly obvious it was dodgy). No one blames her as she had as much info as them but as she introduced the idea to them she is devastated. She has made a few comments via email about her life insurance not being enough to pay back everyone but she is determined to spend her life trying to pay back the money to her friends.
I only have email contact with her and due to problems with shift work have no way of contacting her by phone, we live some way apart. Basically we meet up a few times a year when we have a big get together.
I made an effort to send her a nice friendly email as I was very worried about her remarks about her life insurance and how much of her emails are about how guilty she feels about the money. Frankly, I was given the brush off although in a very nice way. She told me that she appreciated the thoughts but prefers to talk rather than type (as we're never around to talk at the same time that is impossible).
I'm still really concerned about her - should I respect her wishes, which is what I would normally do, or ignore them and just keep emailing her chatty little notes to try and keep her mind off of her woes?
I honestly feel she is in at least a moderate, if not worse depression and was hoping that you guys can help me out here.

Your friend must be feeling really low at the moment. And the guilt feeling will even make her worse.
If you can, try and give her a call when your on your lunch break. Even if she doesnt answer your phone, she will see your missed call and will know you tried. Most importantly, you know you have tried and trying. If you also send her another email and tell her how much you would like to call her but cant due to being at work, she will feel that you do care about her. Hopefully you will get together soon maybe you could arrange a night when your not working the next day if you dont have other commitments and spend some time doing something fun to get her mind off things. If you explain to her what you have said here, Im sure she will appreciate it coz the worse thing when feeling worthless and low is when no one is around to talk to you. Its easy to take things personally and feel everyone is avoiding you and no one likes you, so by you contacting her, you can reassure her, that your friendship is important and you love her no matter what.
This might sound stupid but after watching an episode in hollyoaks I have learnt that we should tell ppl in our lives that we love them coz life is to short....
FG, hey hun. Sorry you had a bad day. I can understand why you said you was fine to cpn(what does that stand for by the way).I would be the same and would probaly of said the same. I am like that with my case worker. I say to him Im fine when Im not coz I dont like to open fully. I dont want them to know how much I am truely suffering as I cant see that they can change the way I am feeling. But sometimes its good to say, no im not fine and im strugglying. I know its not nice but It will pass sweety. My case worker told me to start a diary. After a month I have decided to do so. But I use to keep a diary and they got left in my old home, the one I had to leave due to hate crime so am a bit nervoust about writing one again. I would rather do an online diary although I dont know how to, maybe you could do something like that. When you need to get a load off, you can write what you want and how you feel.
Let me know how your driving lessons go. You will feel so good once you start, I did and am going to restart my lessons again thanks to you.
Shaz hun, sorry things are not to good at the mo hun. Sending you hugs.
Sending ALL of you an indivual big hug xx0 -

I'm surprised at myself tbh, the place I have been allocated is normally a one-person unit but ive been with someone most of the time this past week or so but eventually I will be on my own ... i dont know how I will cope then. I'm glad I only do 3 days a week as I dont think I could cope with it 5 full days.... partly because of the bordom and the moaning/insults etc from the commuters.
I'm glad to be occupied to be honest and i'm finding that the more I have to do the more I am managing to do ... like ive managed loads of jobs around the house, enquired about alternative rented houses, and managed some sewing, i also feel more able to pay to have little jobs done, I took 2 pairs of shoes to the cobblers yesterday.
Peterborough sounds nice but on a Saturday  not for me at all .... where is your daughter off too? I used to love the end of school year trip, we had some good ones.

Hi shazrobo
I feel low today i have been doing voluntary work with a view to getting paid work and was told by the person who i work for they cant afford to pay me.
I have had experience of this before but because ive always treated people the way i would like to be treated feel this has happened throughout my life in many areas because i wear my heart on my sleeve.
My parents never wanted me and rejected all my needs and it feels like whichever way i turn so does everyone else. The average woman would rather have beauty than brains,
