I bet you are drained, FG! Do think of yourself as well. Do some meditation or something. I've had a little think, and I won't stay away pemanently, you guys are too nice and supportive. I do need to take a break, though, as I have to concentrate on finishing a project, and finding more work. I still need a job, even if Mr C has one. Back later, Cholly xx0

I appear to have inadvertantly upset QB, so I'm not coming back, as I don't want a sour note to appear on this thread. Thanks to you lovely people for listening to me when I reached out, best of luck to you all. Cholly xx

I agree that you cannot please everyone all the time but not sure what you mean by the rest of your comments.Who are you accusing of fake niceness? and what do you mean when you say "If someone takes offence over what is written on a public thread then that says as much about them as it does you? Although the comments were written on a public thread they were addressed personaly to QB and i can understand how he could have taken them the wrong way.I believe Chorlita was as she said just trying to add some humour to the board but when that humour is pointing out personal faults i do not find it suprising that it was taken with bad grace.I agree with your suggestion of using the pm facility.0 -
Thanks for your concern lovelies.
I'm struggling at the moment, really struggling, which is why I hadn't been posting or coming online much as I didn't want to bring people down.
I'll be okay. I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow so will just spill everything out to her.lol.

Communication is a 3 part thing. There are words but only about 7% of the communication is made up of words themselves. 38% comes from tonality and about 55% from body language. So on a forum it is easy to get the wrong end of the stick.
Take a sentence " you dont want to do that" and by raising the tone at the end as you say it, it becomes a question. Keep the tone level and its a statement. Lower the tone at the end its a command. 3 different meanings of a short sentence. You could say the sentence 6 times but this time leaning on a different word and give it 6 different interpretations.
Add to this body language smiling , frowning etc and you can see that words dont count for much.
As far as we know Chollita could have wanted to upset QB but by the use of the smileys I doubt it. I think she was saying it as a joke but it got taken the wrong way which is very easy to do on a forum.
If anyone takes offence at what is written on a forum by a stranger then they are not really understanding things. At the end of the day does what Chollita say affect who QB is? He is still QB and nothing changes unless of course he needs to hear nice comments to massage his ego. In reality being male he has probably forgotten about it by now anyway.Who I am is not important. What I do is.0 -

Shaz, you ok hun?
Hi KentishLady and everyone else.
My son is doing my head in at the moment. He has such an attitude sometimes and his only 6. He is being so naughty. So he is now on the naughty step and throwing his toys down the stairs and demanding his dinner and telling me how Im making him starve. I could tear my hair out at the moment. I have never made him starve. His crying and going on and on. I dont need this right now. Arrggghhh how do ppl cope when a child goes off on one????I am trying to ignore him but its not working.
Better go and cook his dinner,I am nothing but a slave and never feel appreciated. I still have over 10 years of this to go through and it wont be getting any easier.
My head hurts now.
Anyway chat soon my lovely friends
Hugs to u all xxx0 -

Hi D, poor you. I can totally empathise! Mine's now 15 and can be a total rat sometimes still! I think the only way is to try and ignore him, I know it doesn't really work... but can't think of anything else tbh.
Hopefully he'll be out his mood soon.
Enjoy dinner.

I can relax a bit now, done the dishes now having a fag and cappacino(sorry for spelling)....
Sorry to hear your not feeling to good. I hope you feel better real soon.
