Charges... £175.00 (£150 of that being a van call, £15 being bounced cheque charge)

He can only charge you £24.50 for the first visit and £18.00 for the second visit.

If he hasn't made a list of goods he can't charge you for the van.

However seeing that your car is in the drive this will be listed.

Make sure you close all your windows.

Get back intouch with the council. Perhaps your local councillor may be able to put some pressure on the council to call off the bailiffs.

However, since he has been told that thE CAR IS on HP, that might be open to challenge.

All cars are tucked away now out of sight.

I havnt as of yet, but I'd like to say thankyou to all the advice thats been given, its been a big help and support. With out this I dont know what I would have done, the girlfriend was terrified.

The national debt line said I can put in a complaint regarding the charges and I can also put in a complaint of harrasment via the baliff. Refusing to move so we can get the car off the drive. I've taken photograps as instructed by them.

Im going to phone the council now and set up a agreement to pay off their payment (342.50) on Friday. Then I will have to deal with the charges from the baliffs.

All they had to do was re-present the cheque after it bounced, almost 3 months ago. Or even send me a letter and I would have issued another cheque.
I've only just got back from a week in spain yesterday morning to face all this :( hence Im a bit skint until Friday (payday)
  • A week in Spain???

And here was I feeling sorry for you.
