SavingForTravel posted this recipe on the grocery challenge in April:

    Glamorgan sausages:
    Serves 4

    Ingredients:
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    6oz (175g) Cheddar cheese, grated
    10oz (300g) fresh breadcrumbs
    3 eggs beaten
    Fresh breadcrumbs for coating
    Salt and Pepper
2 tablespoons of olive oil for frying
Optional: pinch of dried sage/ pinch of mustard powder

    Method:
    1. Mix together the onion, cheese, breadcrumbs, most of egg, salt and pepper (if desired: pinch of dried sage/mustard powder). Divide the mixture into 12 pieces and roll each portion into a small sausage shape.
    2. Place breadcrumbs on large plate. Coat each sausage shape with remaining egg and then press on coating of crumbs.
    3. Heat about an inch of oil in a large saucepan (I don't use that much). Fry sausages for 5-7 minutes, turning quickly, until golden. Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot (or cold)
    Can cook from frozen.

Thanks AN, I had suspected that this might be a veggie recipe, I'm not veggie, but I think I'll give that a go, it sounds good.
I'll have a read at the tartyflarty recipe as well. Always open to new ideas, and last week I found veggie frittata in a kids cooking library book. I think it's pretty much what you call crustless quiche, very versatile and economical.

Hello, I'm here, better late than never

Going to try very hard this week as we're still trying to get down to one freezer so the other can be fixed, I'm ending up freezing stuff I bought fresh and breads etc which means it's not going down! I'm not moaning that what we have is lasting us well, I've saved a lot last month :D but it needs doing

Right, main meals as follows (few alternatives in for the boys for when they can't/won't have what we are) one of the days might be swapped for a BBQ but have stuff in the freezer to do a BBQ.

    Sunday - Beef dinner
    Monday - Fajitas
    Tuesday - Pizzas
Wednesday - Turkey curry (yes found some more left from xmas lol DP will think it's chicken)
    Thursday - out
Friday - Chicken in italian style sauce with mozerella cheese, pasta and GB
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
