Mealplans WB 4th July 2008

Hi Guys!
Another week has flown past and I can't believe we are now in July:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

This week we are having:

Friday-Pizza & Salad
Saturday-Steak, Chips, Salad & Onion Rings
Sunday-BBQ indoors if wet
Monday-Chicken, Roasties, Yorkshires, Cabbage and Carrots
Tuesday-Bubble & Squeak
Wednesday-Curry & Rice
Thursday-Ham, Salad & New Pots

So what are you all having?

    Morning! :)

    We're having:

    Tonight - Fish pie (with cauliflower, sweetcorn & peas)
    Friday - Thai chicken curry with rice, naan & tzatziki
    Sat - Chicken & Red Pepper pie (pastry)
    Sun - Roast chicken with potatoes, carrots & brocolli
    Mon - Sausages cooked with apple & onion and cous-cous
    Tues - Chicken risotto

    ETA: Will have to swap that around a bit since I've just noticed the chicken 3 nights in a row, although no-one will notice/care and we've also eaten a la veggie/fish since Saturday.

    Back to meal planning and it really does help :D Also from this week I've bought no biscuits etc, will be back to making cakes, biscuits and other baked goodies from scratch. Back to baking pies etc from scratch as well, DH says they taste nicer and we do have a lot in to use up, so keeping my fingers crossed that life doesn't get in the way and have me running for cover in the direction of Mr A! This is our meal plan for this week, weekend lunches HM pizza & salad and soup and HM made, weekday lunches HM sandwiches and salads.

    Friday – Orange & Herb Chicken Breasts, New Potatoes & Veg (Made in the steamer)
    Saturday – Pasta Bake, Crusty Bread & Salad
    Sunday – Roast Beef Slices, Yorkshire Pud, Spuds, Veg & Gravy
    Monday – Mince Beef Curry, Chips & Rice
    Tuesday – Turkey Sausage & Bean Casserole & Jacket Wedges

    Wednesday – Fish Pie, Green Beans & Sweetcorn
    Thursday – Chicken & Mushroom Pie, Chips & Green Beans

    Fri - Spicy lamb burgers, roasted sweet potatoes

    Sat - off to Nando's

    Sun - Fish and spinach pie, roasted tomatoes

    Mon - Acapulco turkey (turkey chilli) and rice

    Tues - Thai chicken soup

    Weds- felafels, pitta, greek salad

    Thurs - tuna pasta bake

    hi all :wave:

    here is ours, ds2 will be away from monday to friday on school trip, so a little different this week!!!

    Saturday: Roast chicken and chips. (ds2 has his final football tournament of the season on sat, so packed lunch needed for him)

    Sunday lunch: Shepperds pie with carrots
    sunday tea: sausage sarnies

    Monday: nigella’s green thai curry with brown rice

    Tuesday: breaded plaice, pasta and mixed veg

    wednesday: Meal out!! just me and oh!! :)

    Thursday: Nursery fish pie and veg

    Friday: order pizza for ds2 coming home from a school trip!:T

    Sat - HM Pizza (leftovers for lunches next week)
    Sun - Glamorgan sausages
    Mon - HM Beany burgers
    Tue - Crustless quiche
    Wed - Lentil & squash thai curry
    Thu - shopping night so lucky dip from the freezer!

    Tue 08 Jul - [strike]tuna potato salad[/strike] Chippy :naughty:
    Wed 09 Jul - chilli (make batch)
    Thu 10 Jul - rustic pasta/egg & chips

    I missed posting last weeks meal plan and blimey, I couldnt half tell.

    Anyway, for the next week it will be

    Fri - HM Pizza and HM wedges

    Sat - Fajitas

    Sun - Roast Chicken dinner with all the trimmings

    Mon - Chicken curry and rice

    Tues - tartyfalarty

    Wed - bacon, courgette and pasta

    Thurs - probably left over salad (using for lunches) and tartyfalarty.
    I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like you :p

    :p would like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing :o

    Hello everyone,

    I have been doing meal plans for a few weeks now and find they are really useful - especially for saving money! Here goes my first try at posting my meals for the next 7 days: (We are trying a low carb diet...)

    Fri - Stuffed chicken with Swede & Carrot crush & veg
    Saturday - Not yet decided
    Sunday - Roast chicken with veg
    Monday - Sausages, beans & eggs
    Tuesday - Baked Garlic Halibut with veg and half jacket potato
    Wednesday - Shepherds Pie with a thin layer of mash & veg
    Thursday - New recipe night (always try a new recipe with a friend)

    Oh I like ashbart's idea of a new recipe night! I usually have (at least) one new recipe in the plan, but maybe I should also do it standard on a certain day.... makes it fun! Here is our plan for the week:

    thur - potato & green been curry, cucumber raita
    fri - moroccan tajine with beef and apricots, couscous
    sat - HM pizza (with sardines, OH's favourite)
    sun - beef fajitas
    mon - spanish rice
    tues - canneloni with ricotta and red/green peppers
    wed - emince de veau (veal strips in wine/cream sauce)
    thur - pork chow mein

    there may be changes: dentist tomorrow, maybe we will have to have soup instead!
