When I went through the purchase process, the last page showed two columns - one said something like "monthly fee 0.00" the other "one off fee £14.99".
Seemed fairly straight forward to me. You do get a payg sim with it, and you only get the free texts or minutes if you top up with £10 per month, but if I remember correctly from the previous free 02 sims, you don't HAVE to top up every month - you can top up with £10 the first month, use your free texts and minutes in the first month then use your £10 credit, then once you top up again with another £10 it starts all over again. If you see what I mean0 -
I just got it for £14.99 I used the link in the OP and it worked. However if you go via the website its £34.990

that sounds right to me stumpy, but I wanted to clarify it first which is why I rang to ask about the PAYG talkalot 'tariff' (for want of a better word).
What worried me is the two members of staff who were adament that online PAYG is a direct debit service, and my card would be debited with £10 each month, presumably the phone would be credited with the £10 + free calls/texts too each month.
Wish the guy had got back to me in time to order though, it looked a great phone for £15 if it was purely PAYG*** Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly ***
If I don't reply to you, I haven't looked back at the thread.....PM me0 -

The O2 CS was spouting nonsense. I used to work for O2 Tech support and know that a lot of the CS is awful. You can use the phone with any O2 sim card, you will see in the info enclosed with O2 PAYG sim cards that auto debit is not done. You top up with a top up card in a retailer using your debit card or cash. Online top up is also possible although has been problematic in the past. Other top up method is use your Credit card and top up using the free 4444 top up line. If you dont top up each month then you lose the free sms.0 -
I ordered it at 11:20am and recieved my confirmation emails straight away. The confirmation says £14.99 even though if you go via the website its £34.99!0

Hmm. Still haven't got a confirmation e-mail and I ordered about 10.30. And the link isn't working now. And I'm kicking myself because I could have got another £1.50 going through greasypalm. :wall:0

I ordered 1 about 9am and I still haven't had any confirmation (or other) emails from them0
-
i just checked the link and its still working.
Maybe you should try ringing them and asking about the confirmation as I got my confirmation quite quickly.0 -
It did mention when I ordered something about order tracking, but I can't find it now. Someone posted a link earlier, but still couldn't find it from there - any ideas anyone?!
Edit - oh, and you're right - the link is working again now. So now all I need to do is find order tracking, see if its possible to cancel, then re-order through greasypalm to get my additional £1.50, then cancel the original order. phew.0
