Havent been through the whole thread to see if this has been mentioned but I bougfht 2 refurb Nokia 3100s from O2. Unlike other outlets these really are refurbs so beware. Both had been used and one was pretty much dead. The other had someone's name engraved on it. You may well get a second hand phone so dont expect to be sure of a new one

If they look really rough are we allowed to send them back? I mean a name scratched on them, that's really not on is it?

A refurb by definition...means that the phone when sold new was returned. If my order turns up and one of the phones has an 'engraving' O2 will be getting a few sharp words and a return & refund requested.

I think you need the cable connection to be able to unlock the V220

not sure - looks just like a mini usb

I used one from my camera and it did seem to work ... although the software was a pain and I gave up , although maybe it was that the lead is actually unique to their phones

Thought it was 50/50 that they would be unlocked anyway.. as coming from 02

    within 28 days

that's outrageous. If they have no stock and cannot supply then they should refund immediately.

Ah - when I saw the original review that mentioned a mini-usb, I thought it was included with the phone, but on re-reading it, it is just stating that there is a connection for one there. Reading through the mobile phone forums though, someone else mentioned that they had used a cable from their sony camera or something, and it worked.

Also found another forum, with a different piece of software that seems more successful:

Did they get back to you?

Not yet, no. Bit disappointing as I'd have liked one of these!

Scottishchick27 - they would bill your cc every month! (I'm not saying that will happen in this case though as I don't know what the case is yet)
