DHL have tried to deliver mine today but as we both work there was no one home. Called the local branch and was told the girls go home at 5pm so can't re-arrange delivery.

Joke really that they deliver between these time so you come home from work find the card that they have left and you can't do anything until 9am the next morning.

Will call at 9am and ask for it to be sent to Dads house (same post code area)

I'm having an experiment now with it, but one of the many problems seems to be you have to have a full battery to do it - you have to firstly install the drivers correctly (if you do it right you end up being asked for new drivers about half a dozen times), then have some software to enable you to flash your phone, then the two different flash files (the downgrade and the upgrade) and then the unlocker software.

The files, as far as I know, needed, are:

P2Kman for drivers, etc, and the PST files (two bits to it) both of which have links from here.

You can get the flash files here - what I did was check the version I had, which was R365_G_0B.D2.23R, first, then downloaded one of the R364 ones and the R365 that matched mine.

Then its a matter of wrestling with the phone for a few hours/days to get the drivers installed correctly (I had to uninstall from the device manager at one point and start again - it started off as being a modem, the first time, but the second time it installed a load of USB hub things - each time it asked for a driver, I pointed it to the same place in the p2kman directory.

When that works, hopefully PST will be able to recognise the phone (again, make sure battery is full - your phone will actually say when the charge is complete), then you can select the flash file to downgrade to.

That's as far as I've got so far, because it takes up a lot of power and I had to charge the phone again - so you might want to wait in case everything goes horribly pear-shaped and I have to chuck it in the bin!!

I just got mine done at my local market. It now works fine on Vodafone.

Paid a fiver to have mine done.
Asked if there would be a problem with later versions of firmware. (Mine is 365) Not a problem. Took about a minute.
Surely not enough time to change firmware versions and to unlock. Must not be an issue with the software they are using.
Even the 'full battery' scenario isn't necessary. I had only one bar on mine.

I'm all a bit confused. No emails after the "passing to warehouse" one last week. Card has been charged for two phones and this morning the two sim cards arrived.

I actually phoned o2 last night and they seemed clueless. Question is, am i going to get 2 x v547s now????

The V547 is a better version than the V500 that I own. In my opinion, it is a much better quality phone than the V220. The V547 also has video capabilities.

I ordered 2 V220s on 12/10. One arrived after a couple of days without a charger, so I rang O2 customer services and they said they'd send an envelope to return the phone and SI, and would order another in exchange.

Today I got a V220 manual, charger, an apologetic note, and in another parcel a V547!!
